Hi everyone and welcome to our channel! We are #ukvlog here and you will find reports of our trips, reviews of #cruise ships and other bits of travel advice that we’ve gathered along the way. We are also huge #disney fans, so there will be a fair amount of the mouse content in here too.
I generally use a DJI Action 1 camera to shoot the majority of the videos using a Boya BY-MM1 shotgun mic on top. I also use a GOPRO MAX (360 camera) and iPhone 12 Pro Max for some shots. I use Da Vinci Resolve free edition for editing.

Really loved this video, I’m doing the Skylift in a couple of weeks time on this same cruise but didn’t know about the walk up Huaren. If I have the time I think I’ll give it a go as the views look great. Thank you for sharing and this is a great series. I’m watching as a new subscriber 👍

Hi, we have the same cabin you had, how was the noise from the theatre?
We did hear some noise at times, especially from the louder shows like We Will Rock You, but the shows all finished by half 10 at the latest I think. It didn’t bother me much but Kate noticed it more. It’s a brilliant location for a cabin though, one deck down to the promenade
Great video guys. Thanks for sharing! We sailed on the Anthem of the Seas out of New Jersey down to the Bahamas back in December. The cruise was amazing and we really enjoyed it! We were really impressed with Katie who was our Cruise Director and she was a lot of fun! The Entertainment Manager was Martin. We were wondering if they are still sailing with the Anthem. Were they on your cruise?

OMG - Not only were you on the same week we were but you were 5 cabins down from us!!! And I am pretty sure thats where our sutcase was put and we saw it when walking down!!!

Great video! I really do like these Royal Caribbean rooms. My cabin onboard Symphony last year was almost identical, and I was really impressed overall!

Do you book the afternoon tea on ship or before you go
We booked it before we got on the ship, it’s one of the ones that is prebookable at 14days before your sailing (I think!) They normally hold some reservations so you can book onboard though.

If you’ve booked a trip on a cancelled port… Does the money automatically get converted to on-board spend?
It goes into your bank account
I think if you booked it before the cruise it would go back to the original payment but if booked once the cruise had started it would go on to your onboard account. Any credit on your account left at the end of the cruise should get refunded anyway so you’d get it back either way 👍
I was on Iona at the same time i was gutted especially when he said where heading back to Southampton it ruined my holiday 😢
It’s always rubbish when a port is cancelled. Hopefully you managed to enjoy some of the other bits of the cruise
Oooh I’m so glad you mentioned that slower boat ride in stavanger…. My friend and I are going on that in September…. everybody seems to focus on the rib boat…👍
We've been on the slower boat before, it is really good, gets you pretty much as close as the RIB and has a coffee shop onboard! Hope you have an amazing time!

Great video, thank you. We are off on this cruise next summer. I was wondering what time does everything start to open? I am very early riser and wondering if anything will be open at 5am such as the gym, pools, etc
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy it next year. The gym on Iona is actually open 24 hours but the pools are generally open 7am to 8pm. Buffet opens at 630am and the coffee shop at 7am most days. Hope that helps!

Nice review. I’ve subscribed. Reviewers of the conservatory mini-suites on Arvia noted that the a/c goes off when the sliding door between the bedroom and conservatory area is opened. Is this true of the Iona as well?
Thanks for watching! The a/c seemed to stay on as long as the balcony door was shut. We left our conservatory/bedroom door open often and it maintained the temperature. 👍

South Western House - The building you walked past and commented on between where you parked and the cruise terminal, used to be a hotel where Cruise passengers would stay before departure. Also it was home to BBC South and BBC Radio Solent for about 30 years

Is there one event in your life that has been a major factor with your overwhelming attraction to Disney? My first amazement with Disney was when on Sunday Night TV, Tinkerbell used her wand to turn the show into COLOR. I'm with the generation from B&W to color TV. My dreams came true when going to Disney World in 1976. I can still feel the sense of excitement inside of me on that first day. Thanks for sharing your journey.

So where is the next adventure?
Well, we've still got the rest of this adventure first! Nassau, Castaway Cay and back to Disney World. But our plans for 2024 are a cruise from Southampton in Spring and then back to Disney world in September. So far anyway, may add some plans if we can fit it it! Thanks for watching
