Thank you so much, it was so helpful<3
You are welcome!
Thank you ~ I've been looking for a better way to keep facts and ideas for my new podcast. Recording facts and ideas in my notebook hasn't been working out as later I waste time looking for and even worse, I forget completely until it's too late. I think the sticky notes in my binder will be what I try.
You're so welcome, Tricia!
Intelligent, talented, beautiful woman.
This is really helpful as I am trying to put together an art portfolio. I have tons of projects that are 80% finished. They stop feeling creative and fun and this is when another idea typically pops in my head and I set the current project aside so I can get those endorphins again from the beginning of the creative process. Thank you for explaining it so well. It makes sense why so many people have great ideas, and so few people are able to realize them.
Glad this was helpful! I hope it guides you toward finishing a project or two that is deeply meaningful for you. Learning how to withstand the pain as we enter the narrow of the funnel will give you so much confidence and self-understanding.
Nice video. Thank you
You explained your idea so clearly. Thanks for the inspiration.
My pleasure, Laura!
Thank you very much, Cynthia, this was very helpful! I've always felt somehow that index cards are a great organizing tool, but just needed some implementation examples. And thanks to you I've got two crucial points externalized: 1). Analog tools (like index cards are) and media (e.g. printed books) are incomparably better and more efficient for work in a higher level thinking mode. 2). Digital tools indeed easily fragment attention and energy!
So glad this helped!
glad to see you are living the life, your video about the creative process from 7 years ago is one i steadily go back to!
Thank you! That makes me happy that video helps you thrive creatively. 🙏
@@CynthiaMorris yes very insightful, do you have a Tik Tok account? it might do well in the short content form
thanks! It helped.
So glad!
Wow, excellently put
Thank you! I hope it helps you be more creatively satisfied.
hey it's like you're reading my mind here! I would love to read it, but I'm too busy finishing my project lol, if there'd be an audio version it'd be great
I would love to hear more examples of how you have used these for various protected. I also love/suffer project idea expansion and my brain bursts with inventions/systems/organization. Index cards seem a good way to visualize a huge concept map, while being editable, and able to stack away when company comes.
LOL, watching how they grew one cup in less than a month was admittedly shocking, I used what I talked about the other day, and well it actually took about 6 weeks for them to totally grow by two cups, I just go’ogled Mika Klopsworth's Breast Guide and now the looks I get are so worth it.
This made sooooo much sense to me!!! Thank You. ❤
Fabulous flip through! I love it! Thanks so much to you, Koosje, Marty and Marcus for your wonderful lessons and guidance in Paris Sketchbook! I’m feeling a life altering experience was had! ❤❤ I’m still processing and working in my journal! Merci!
Thank you for sharing :) I love all the sketches ❤😘🎨
No comments in 13 years? Let's change that. This book was recommended by Seth Godin, so I decided to pick up a copy. Great short review!!
I watched your video in 2009 and absolutely fell in love with Marcus' work. For the past month I have been trying to find that same video, with no avail, until I randomly and very fortunately, came across this video. What a blessing! Thank you for this, Cynthia and Marcus!
i liked alot of these
That is a perfect way to put it into perspective! Just seeing that already reassures me of what I already knew, and that is I’m not alone. Thanks!
The fluctuating between the top, and the narrow part of the funnel are similar to someone with bi-polar disorder! Lol I wouldn’t say I have bipolar issues, but I go through times when I do fluctuate. I simply call it a rutt. Once I realize that I’m not completing any of my many projects I have to get myself out of it, and get back on track. Along with the usual housework I have numerous craft, and sewing projects I hope to complete. Not completing them is very discouraging, and the only way I know to feel better is to snap myself out of it, and complete something, and then continue to make another.
Just.bought the book! I'm tired of being stuck.
It has been fun both of you. Thks.
Hidden gem video, hidden gem teacher

Brilliant xx thank you xxx
Thank you, it is very helpful 😊
I think you got that Radiohead song down, Cynthia! I have 2 of their albums, Kid A and In Rainbows.
Thanks for sharing these suggestions. I have left you a message via your website. I'm interested in your classes. Thanks!
These are great! One of my favorite quotes is supposedly from Abe Lincoln, "If this is coffee, bring me some tea. But if it's tea, bring me some coffee."
Thanks for bringing a smile to my face. Are you doing this again this year?
Wow!! So much take away from both of you!! Drawing & language learning ; looking back all my sketchbooks and discover what I love the most in my life … thank you so much I look forward to the travel retreat with you guys !
Nice podcast but music at the beginning is overpowering.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. At least it's only at the beginning. Thanks for watching.
I didn't realise that I already do this. I keep an A4 binder and a pre-punched A4 notepad. I was restricting it to brainstorming the novel, but I think I'll start adding the stuff you've mentioned here too. Thanks for the suggestions!
It feels good to have it all together, doesn't it?
Thank you sweat lady
is it the pocket size?
Yes, 3 x 5 inches.
@@CynthiaMorris, I got the large one, but it's surprising how thin it is and the fact that it does not have traditional binding makes it a great option, It just lays flat when you open it. I like it.
@@NeryNicolas So glad you like it!
I enjoyed seeing your sketchbook of Paris
Thank you Sharon!
So insightful! Thank you for sharing this! I've been meditating on this proverb: "Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit." (Ecclesiastes 7:8) To more completed creative ideas!
Patient in spirit...something I definitely could improve on!
This was very interesting.
That was wonderful! Koosje is so delightful and enthusiastic. I love her Draw Tip Tuesday and I thank you for telling me about Sketchbook Skool. Such a great interview.
Great video - short, colourful and inspiring especially when opened out!
Thank you!
Love the bag! Gonna try to find one!! Thanks!
