I read this book. It really is a bit difficult for someone who doesn't have knowledge of previous philosophers especially I found some Husserl Quoted a lot. So some of it went ser k uper se. Haha. But there are many good chapters. I liked Duan Juansim Chapter. Drama. conquest. In first few pages Camus writes Any reason to live is a great reason for die as well It reminded me of Ishq main farak nahi jene oor marne ka Usi ko dekh k jete hain jis kafir pe dham nikle I have one question that I wanted to ask. In Drama(page 80) there is a line. If it was essential to love at stage like people really do, our speech would be in code. What did he mean by that.
@3rd_POVКүн бұрын
I think in this section he is saying, life is absurd and we are all acting our parts, and that is why we like dramas. Because in drama, actor plays a character for few minutes and then it is finished. Drama is absurd and life is absurd. Actor tries to give some meaning to drama but then it gets over, so is life. Actor has only 2 tools body and voice - a mime actor can only use one tool that is his body, he cannot speak, so he has to use magnified body gestures and also his silence has to be used as an act of speech. If an actor is allowed to speak his heart, like he does in his normal life, he will have to talk in codes. Camus was a stage actor and director - he uses a lot of similar analogies. I hope I was helpful.

Right? Then To which degree Islam has Greek Influence? Here in India also people had came up with Aatma and Swarg(Heaven). Can we say here in India this idea devloped independently?
