Holy shit where was this color when i bought my PRS~
I enjoy your videos, great show! Cheers 👍
would be a great road, gig guitar
Step 1- start with warm, soapy water with a damp rag. This guitar needed a good bath.. The Goo-Gone is fine for the sticker adhesive. Step 2- I would have wiped the guitar down with either Naptha or Ronsonol lighter fluid to remove years of dust, polish and sweat. Step 3, buff 0000 steel wool on the fingerboard. Step 4- polish the frets. Step 5- oil the fingerboard. Step 6- Automotive scratch remover. Step 7- wax and polish with buffing wheel
Clean it with lighter fluid, or magic eraser.
Как называется форма этой гитары?
well thats a pretty nice guitar after all your work for sure!! id say 300 to 400 guitar now to me. its sounds great too. great job on it!! i wouldnt mine having it myself but i just dont like those active pickups. larry
This is the coolest guitar in Heavy Metal history. Chris Holmes is a legend.
For stickers or tape, believe it or not a hair dryer is the way to go!
Just here for the "today's string choice " jingle...ha ha ha
Looking at those machine tuners I would say someone put those one and didn’t do a very good job
good Job Dane
Great show thank you for shop class
Dean Markley are still around. They make John 5, Lita Ford, and Orianthi signature set of strings.
Effortless. A true master at work.👀👀👀🏅
You should do before and afters of the axes you resurrect! Just a thought. Another Goodwill gem!
Good Job 👍 Sounds Great
Great job Zimm
Schecter guitar's are my favorite so far but haven't tried Paul Reed Smith yet. Easiest way to remove sticker's is Zippo lighter fluid that's at least a four hundred dollar guitar there. probably more than that new around 800$
Painter's Naptha, or White Gas, is like Zippo fuel but it is cheaper by the gallon.
WD-40 works on stickers, too.
I love Schecters! Really great quality for low $$$. You just demonstrated a great argument for guitar care. Looks great! 🎸😎👊
Goo gone for the tape. Edit: I hit enter and you busted it out lol.
those are good guitars, certainly worth saving .... good job
I'm always excited to see what other guitars you're going to restring next.
Another excellent save! Naturally relic'd, quality Schecter instrument for good money.
Nice job🎉
What a difference.... Looks Amazing.. Sounds Good...
Sweet guitar
clean the guitar then sand paper the frets?. looks nice though.
WD40 would prolly get that glue off.
YAY Dane is here! Remember never fit Fender strings on a Gibson lol
I love my two Schecter guitars i have omen six and the triad
now I’ve seen everything…a guitar that’s FIVE SERIAL NUMBERS away from George Harrison’s…people will do anything for that Beatles connection…I shook John Lennon’s hand in 1975 but I’ve washed it since. Peace
You are not messing it up you are giving it new life.
The jaguar is a great guitar, you need to know how to do a proper aet-up. First, don't put 9s on a Jag! They are a short 24in scale guitar that require a bigger guage than a strat or tele to get the same level of tension. 11s work well! Typically with 11s and a shim in the neck, you wont have those problems with buzzing amd strings popping out of the saddles. It is amazing how many guitar techs don't understand offset guitars.. They are amazing if you know how to set them up properly!
I really like this one in the red burst 👍🏻
too colorful
How are you supposed to evaluate it without tuning it up??? Like making a movie with a 💩 ending.
That amp is noisy.
Double Humbuckers make a huge sound difference... And Donner has really came a long way over the years. If it was just looks I'd go for Firefly, but like the guy says, you can upgrade, and the baseline of the Donner is already so much better.
That is a genuine Danelectro reissue available in white, red, or black crackle finishes.. The Jerry Jones were copies of the original 60's Coral Sitar guitar. The Coral Sitar was made by Danelectro in collaboration with session player Vinnie Bell who wanted the sitar sound but couldn't play the real thing. The bridge follows the principle of the slightly curved, from front to back, bone bridge used on sitar and other related eastern instruments. The smaller sympathetic strings actually sound more like an autoharp harp and are usually tuned to a scale. Most players don't tend to use them. True sympathetic strings would have a much different arrangement in order to sound similar to those found on a sitar. It's a cool looking and instantly recognizable sounding instrument and has appeared on dozens of records. 🖖
My first electric guitar was a Tesco del Rey I remember when I was about 11 years old they sold these at thrifty drug store my parents bought me two of them they had a rack with acoustics semi-hollow body electrics and solid body electrics.
Trogly has taught you well, grasshopper!
He had a naked lady guitar also!!!!
Very interesting and pleased to say successful job. I have a Clifton Classical with the a similar problem. I have seen a video where the neck was sawn from the bottom up to the underside of the fingerboard. Then glued into place while loading the neck down to close the gap. It seems to have worked ok. I may try that method.
Thats insane looking
Now that is cool 👌
That looks like the Gibson that my grandfather owned. I know they made a lot of them. Every fret space on every string had indentions in the fretboard where he played it. My father unfortunately sold it in Memphis. Pissed me off. I was the only grandchild that actually played guitar and it broke my heart when I found out he sold it.
Oi Zimms... Say Hello from XURU i m from BRAZIL. I have collection guitars . All the bests
