    Very nice! #114 is the oldest JLA I have and is the only 100 pager I have.

  • @tmpsfrommars
    @tmpsfrommars7 күн бұрын

    These short runs of 100 pagers per title is soon going to turn into a longer run of all 100 pagers surely? 114 is my favourite of these as it has my favourite crossover story, Crisis On Earth Three, it is their 2nd team up though.

    @tmpsfrommars Thanks Tempus for the correction on the JLA/JSA team up in #114. As much as I would love to complete all 100 pagers, I don't think I could afford all the romance books, which seem to be the most rare and expensive.

  • @tmpsfrommars
    @tmpsfrommars7 күн бұрын

    @@erikk.5202 They had that first crossover in one of the other 100 pagers, I knew they would have had to have had it somewhere! Most of the romance ones aren't that expensive, although more so than the others in the series, the problem I have with them is I can't find them over here, so I'm currently having to pick them up from America but with 15 to 20 dollars postage each it's doubling the price up for me on the ones I've picked up so far, the 100 page super spectacular love stories one though is going to be costly from what I've seen, I bit the bullet on a reasonably priced one of those a bit back, I mean I say reasonable, it was still expensive but a lot less than I've seen them going for 😵‍💫

    @tmpsfrommars That stinks that shipping is as much as the comic itself. There are some other series I want to complete before I even think of tackling the 100 pagers. That being said, what a great set of books to collect. Of all the ones I do have, the mystery/horror ones are my favorites. Unexpected, HoM and The Witching Hour are classics.

    Great books mate, gotta love them 100 pagers, I dig the busy panel covers too, so much awesomeness to absorb with those. I am accumulating a JLA run from this series but haven't read any yet, I plan to binge them when I get the full run I am after. I am quite keen on Johnny Peril so I look forward to reading that back up story at some point. @@erikk.5202 Yeah, just 7 romance ones left to pick up but I thought with me finishing off my 80 pagers, even though they're not all 80 pagers in that set, I'd get started on finishing the 100 pagers off as well. I know Shannon's got a full set, mind you what hasn't he got a full set of 😄

    @@tmpsfrommars LOL...so true. Shannon has just about everything. I am shocked when I show him some books and he says he does not have an issue that I have. It can't be true...lol. That is great Tempus. I am jealous. I know the romance books are some of the most difficult to get. Patience and money are the keys. I am headed to HeroesCon in Charlotte in three weeks. So, until then, no comic purchases as I am saving money for some bigger purchases there.

    Nice, this is one of those titles that's on my to get list, I picked up a fafhrd and the gray mouser GN years ago which was a fun read and I've been meaning to pick up some other stuff with them in.

    You won't be disappointed Tempus. Great little series and easy on the pocket book. Definitely a doable series to complete rather quickly.

    It's a great series, isn't it Greyman. And, the 100 pagers will keep you entertained for a while.

    Another great run Erik, and I never get tired of looking at the 100 pagers , ( and thank you for the kind words )talking about them,or hearing someone else’s take on them . #160 was the first one I picked up as a kid and it’s still my favorite of that run. And I agree, Cardy was very prolific ( and underappreciated) on those DC covers in the 70’s. I really like your idea of putting an extra buffer between the staple and the cover. Awesome news about getting to go back home to Florida ! Thanks for showing these and making me appreciate them even more. 😊

    You are very welcome Shannon. Your channel was the first I discovered when I returned to the hobby and I credit you mainly for fueling my collecting fire as well as costing me a lot of money...lol. You know what this means about me going back to FL full time? More videos. 😁 I head back down in four weeks and am really excited. Not excited about the heat and humidity. But, that is okay. More time with my wife and four legged children is the main benefit Yea, I started putting a sheet of paper inside the first page after receiving a comic like that a few years back in the mail. And, putting just a small, white mailing label at the edge of the paper so it lines up over the staple has to help to some degree I believe. #160 is probably my favorite as well. In fact, I remember you mentioning in one of your 100 page videos how that issue was your favorite. Now, you understand why I watch your 100 page video series often.

    Hey Erik. Great little series with entertaining stories and fantastic art ! Man, aren’t these little short runs fun to collect? 😊 And a lot of these are DC Bronze Age, which doesn’t hurt, right ? 😉 Well done my friend.. Now off to Part Two !

    They sure are fun to collect. And, whether it is DC, which is where I lean, or Marvel, there are so many great short run series to collect. Thanks for watching my friend.

    Lots of nice comics there mate including quite a few I have picked up myself as an adult and a few runs I am trying to get together now. I love that Rima run, interiors by Nestor Redondo are sublime. I have a few more Richard Dragon to try to find still and have just started to amass a Shadow run. Happy collecting mate

    Thank you Greyman! Yes, Rima is underrated. Love The Shadow and Richard Dragon. Three great short Bronze Age runs.
