    Hey bro, I have a question I have a 2g 1995 gst with a 6 bolt bottom end swap with a 2g head, can you use the same 2g master cylinder or u need to swap it with a 1g master cylinder? I have a act2100 clutch 6puck sprung. As of now when they installed the new 2g master cylinder they removed the little restrictor that sits in the master cylinder. Please help with any info.

    Yeah watching this video some more all the way thru you decided to remove the steering wheel when the dash got hung up and you couldn't go anymore without forcing it and thus breaking plastic pieces from the dash. I been there and done that with my 03 Hyundai Tiburon GT where i had to take the steering wheel off and unbolt the steering wheel column down to the floor so I can easily pull the dash forward out and exit to the side door without any hassles. Unfortunately Hyundai used inferior plastic material in this dash and alot of the plastic in the dash was cracked and brittle and missing broken plastic pieces particularly the mounting bolt hole locations in the plastic.

    @1998gst46113 ай бұрын

    Yeah it would help make it easier removing the dash by removing the steering wheel and dropping the steering column down to the floor. You only want to do this once as you don't want to break anything from the dash struggling to pull the dash out. You can't buy the original dash from Mitsubishi anymore and finding a 2g or even a 1G dsm dash in acceptable condition is rare.

    I bought a 2nd Spyder thats why im here. the inside roof cover that snap into the rails, thats a noise insulation cover, mine was ripped so i didnt install it when i 1st did mine on my 1st Spyder 12 years ago, i found a used good 1 from another Spyder at junk yard later made a huge difference. 2nd that cable you cut...you need that, you needed it for reassembly it some sort of spring retractable cable that works with the converterible motorsand straps...that part you cut behind the rear seats was part of the rain/water gutter you need to remove the rear seats and it unhooks very easy to access, but yeah DSM parts are very rare and hard to find these days as more times goes on...

    Awesome video thank you this is exactly what I needed! One question though, I just deglazed my cylinder walls (60° cross hatch) and put new piston rings so to break in the motor, as soon as I start it I need to put some load on it and race it (not redline but some “spirited” driving to break it in lol) From what I’ve read I need to do some tuning with ECM link to get rid of the check engine lights and everything but I’ve also read that starting it up and idling for too long is bad for breaking in the piston rings, and i’ve never done any tuning or data logging but I’m assuming it’s going to take a while to get it tuned. From what you said it seems like tuning is only an option and it’s not 100% necessary. But if it’s running like crap and getting misfires won’t that also affect the break-in period of my piston rings? I don’t know what to do i feel like I’m stuck now!! This project has become a nightmare so any ideas would be greatly appreciated lol

    Great video! Just like to know if you could possible fit a dual pump like a double 255 on that stock hanger and maybe just tying up both pumps together and eliminating the bottom bracket for room? I was thinking about putting a brass T or Y fitting and custom fuel hoses for them but was hesitating because I think due to the increased height it might eliminate clearance and hit the floor severely and would not be able to tighten up the screwcap.

    I would suggest you put a junk rear cushion under the engine it would reduce the chances of bending the oil pan and pickup tube. I typically just use the hoists at the yards, it makes it a little easier, but if they don't have them a cushion on the ground will definitely help cushion the fall.
