Do you know if the metal used for the turnbuckle has been improved as I know lots of people broke that?

I don't know if Redcat changed the metal of the turnbuckles. I know they did revise the plastic ends at some point along the way. I actually am using 1/8 scale turnbuckles in place of the upper arms the Kaiju came with. I have pivot balls and standard rod ends on my Kaiju inner and outer.

Hi, is this as big as a Arrma Kraton 6s? Is it a good truck?
@knowair67675 ай бұрын
Hey there, yeah, it's pretty close to the Kraton 6s in size. It's a bit narrower in width than a Kraton. Redcat uses positive offset wheels to make the truck wider. Traxxas does this also. As far as good, yes, I think it's a great truck. Redcat doesn't get aftermarket support like Arrma or Traxxas though, so if you're looking to upgrade and make it do some of the crazy jumps and stunts that are commonly seen here on YT, you may be better off with a Kraton or Sledge. What you see me doing in my videos I have been using the Kaiju for over 3 years and it's held up very well. Sure I've replaced many parts but they are relatively cheap to buy. For the money, it's a pretty good buy. The Kraton 6s v5 BLX at $550 is a great choice as well. You can still find them around, Arrma is about to drop the V6 version and is showing the V5 as discontinued I believe. Don't let that deter you from buying a V5 tho, I doubt there will be a whole lot of differences.

@@knowair6767 Thank you for the details and I appreciate the info and help. Yeah I just purchased the Redcat Kaiju EXT, I got a really good buy, for it. I got 2 sets of battery’s, and a charger all for the same price of a Kraton 6s, so value that’s why I went with the Redcat Kaiju EXT. I am not using it for jumping just park use going around markers on concrete and grass. I think it’s definitely the most under rated truck out there. It looks great and it has hobbywing parts, it’s big and fast, it’s all I wanted in a RC truck. Thank you again and great video 😊👍

@@NoahAmazon Awesome!! Congrats! Yeah, I forgot to even mention the Redcat branded HW electronics. My esc is still going after 3 years of use, snow, rain, mud, summer heat.. crazy how good it really is. The servo is a bit weak but it's the only rtr servo I've ever had that lasted more than a year. I think mine lasted almost 2 years. I was so impressed by the Hexfly servo I started buying them for every one of my rc's. They are rebranded DS servos. You can get the 35kg(blue) as an upgrade for $20 off amazon. You may want to consider upgrading from the t-plug connectors if they're still on the truck and batteries. I'd recommend either XT90 or EC5. The t-plugs will eventually overheat and deform if you run the truck hard. Enjoy brother!!👍😎🍻

Thanks! The SCT410.3 has been solid for me. Only breakage thus far has been the A block, which is the front suspension plate. The SCT410.3 comes with plastic A, B, C, D blocks. I put an aluminum replacement on and no problems since. It is a crazy durable truck for sure. I have run 4s a handful of times in it, no problems. @@10izamarI hear ya. The TRX ultimate, or whatever they call the steel cvd's are just ridiculously priced, and apparently not that strong either.. What are you running for motor and esc? I have a Hoss 3s VXL that I grew tired of replacing the plastic driveshafts on. I put the Tekno cvds on the rear, still stock up front. The fronts don't break as often as the rears on the Hoss for me. What I don't care for with the Tekno upgrades is the 6mm stub axle means the hub uses a thin walled bearing. The bearings don't last very long compared to the stock TRX setup, however, the Tekno cvds and stub axles have been awesome for me. Haven't broken one yet. Pins are still looking very good too. FWIW, Tekno advises NOT to use their cvd's with RPM arms. Too flexible. I have to say though, if you feel you've "outgrown" the Slash, the Tekno SCT410 is well worth it's price tag. Save your TRX electronics to make the Tekno build more affordable, upgrade later if/when needed.

Sweet
haha 20$ sypoms! Those beyond bargin bin lipo!! 🤣 great bash bro.
Yeah, get what we pay for though. The Sypoms are okay for low powered stuff but the 4092 in this thing definitely needs more.. It's hitting LVC after 5 minutes!! Then I put them on charger to storage charge, and they're over storage voltage already? Weird.. not sure what's up with that, perhaps they're just sagging too much voltage? Oh well, one of these days I'll get me some of those SMC's y'all been raving bout!!😉🤜💪
Great bash session with the Recat. It's a beast for sure. Awesome control over the jumps. some day I'll get better at jumping. I cant believe how well it held up in the cold especially the tree strike. Thanks so much for sharing. 👍👍
Thanks for watchin and the sub!! I'm new to the video stuff myself but been into rc's since the 80's on and off.. The kaiju is a gem for the money. Just so much fun. A bit of a handful on 6s, I run it mostly on 4s myself. Happy bashing bro!!👍
@@knowair6767 Your welcome. You have an awesome channel. 👍👍
Awesome video Subs are coming milt built approved
Thanks bud👍 I hope to have some form of editing capability in the near future. Thanks for the sub too👌😎
Love it!!!! Real backyard bashing Uncut.
That truck stock ?
No man, it's got a Tesla plaid motor in it, runniin 1000 volts!!😎😜🤘
I know you’re the real deal. Not sponsored by any company. Showing realistic jumps n bashes . This is real rc folks !!
I agree stock servo seems a lot better on 7.4v. Like you said may go out but like having my fans run at 7.4v as well.
took a nice little hit @ 2:32. Those XTR tires look nice.
Yeah, Arrma tough!!👌🤘🍻 I put the TC tires on cuz they wouldn't clear the stubs of my Kronos xtr after fitting Tekno hex adapters to it. Well, without shimming anyways. I feel like the TC tires grab as well as backflip MT'S but not as thick in the sidewalls.
When it goes from -15 to 35 I bet it's like summertime 🤣🤣
Indeed!! Sorry I took down the original vids from Sunday. I accidentally grabbed the SD files only..Doh!! A true Homer move,LOL. One day maybe I'll have some ability to actually edit this crap I'm posting. HaHa 🤔😉
Is it certain bearings or more like all of them? Great bash! 👍
Hub bearings mostly, sometimes the diff outdrives too. Some rigs seem more tolerant than others..doesn't really make sense but that's my experience. I seized up the hub and outdrive bearings really quickly on the xmaxx last year..soaked them in PB blaster after removing the seals..got them free'd, cleaned, repacked with wheel bearing grease(automotive). Still going to this day!! I have cleaned and repacked since though. I really just can't resist the urge to bash in snow..totally worth it to me😁🤣🤣
