Wonder if the injection should be remapped. Hate to start cooking valves.
All the bends look a little awkward.
If you just cut the original pipe and weld a pipe between it would be the same. Just remove the cathaletic converter.
Not everyone has welding skills nd the needed equipment. Also I wouldn't mess with the OEM exhaust as you can fit it again when you want to sell the bike. I wouldn't touch a bike that has a messed up OEM exhaust. The takegawa pipe really isn't expensive if you order it directly from Japan.
I would have already bought one of these if they offered a slip on keeping the stock cat converter

The problem is that the stock muffler is welded to the header pipe.

How about the weight comparing with stock exhaust.. AND Power / horsepower?
Just installed it on my 2021 Honda monkey and it sounds awesome but seems like less Torque on take off .. I’m hoping it will improve I only have 80 miles on my bike
Best aftermarket exhaust for the monkey! Fits perfect ( takegawa quality), looks good ( stock style) and sounds great ( not so loud but very powerful). I love it! All the best form germany!

Looks like a good install to keep things looking stock. Notice any changes in the bike after the install?
I think the better way to think about this pipe is that ground clearance is greatly improved. Making more noise should not be the end goal. More power maybe, but you've got to think of other people, especially in campgrounds and state and national forests. Let's not give motorcyclists a bigger black eye than we already have. I also think the average guy could do this on his own and not spend $450.

Takegawa Japan have power output graph (PDF) download, www.takegawa.co.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=3867&category_id=2043 (use google translate for your langauge) Shows small hi-rpm gain, with no loss at low/mid-range, probably due to removal of Kat. and shorter collector.

Can i use the Exhaust on the old Pipe ? In my Country i need the KAT. Then i got stopped without the original KAT i‘m going to jail 🙈

was there a noticeable power or torque difference? is the header pipe bigger at the header than stock?

Butt Dyno registered minimal improvements only. Sounds much better. I will get it on a dyno in the next month or so. Header Pipe is the same or only just slightly larger. I will try to measure it this weekend and post it.
