Christopher Wicks

Greetings! My name is Christopher M. Wicks and I am a composer, an organist, a pianist and a baritone. I have this channel so that the world may hear what I have composed, together with my performances of some music from the standard literature. The visual images are drawn from a variety of sources. If you hold the copyright to one of them, and do not consider this to be "fair use," then please let me know. Likewise, if you are or were one of my musical collaborators for a video in which your work also appears, and you have concerns, I will honor your wishes if you will discuss this with me privately.

Fabulous! Indeed, the piece goes from hopeless weeping to planning holy revenge against the Babylonians. Well done! Thank you for sharing!

Just curious; have you ever played on a Wicks?

I have, but I find that style of organ isn't the best for Bach. I don't think that I'm related to the Wicks family who runs the organ company. Thank you for asking.

@@monsieurw1 Interesting. I've heard quite a number of harsh comments about it yet never gone anywhere close to one. What exactly are the problems with it.

@@PM_ME_MESSIAEN_PICS Oh, some Wicks organs are better than others, it's true, but I prefer Baroque or neo-Baroque organs for Bach. But there's some good history to the Wicks company. Let us speak no evil!

Hello, Mr. Kalpon. I don't read Hebrew, but I found a translation of your comment. Are you calling attention to the lack of contrast between the two manuals? I can only say in my defense that from my seat at the organ bench, there was an effect of greater contrast, which unfortunately was diluted farther out in the hall. Thank you for your comment.
