Wargames Illustrated (affectionately known as Wi) is the world’s leading and best-selling magazine dedicated to the hobby of miniature wargaming.
The magazine is published each month in printed and PDF formats (Via WiPrime). The printed version is available online (from this site), from your local hobby store, WH Smith (in the UK), and Barnes and Nobel (in the US).
Each month Wi features news, views, reviews, and over 100 pages of articles relating to the noble hobby of miniature wargaming - the pursuit of collecting, painting, and gaming with miniature figurines (known variously as figures, miniatures, figs, minis, or toy soldiers).

I wonder if you could double the sets
Love the Ned Flanders themed outfit! Jokes aside great video guys!
Cool 👍
Swiss were beaten at Arbedo, Bicocca and Marignana😊
What a wonderful idea in how also to use Epic Scale figures beyond a 6x4 board. Looks great, actually better than great….well done to Matt.
Good stuff
Their sculpts are so nice. These are on my list.
I'm a fan of Perry miniatures and seeing Alan Perry explaining things makes it all the more better.
Needs to be in the Tate as a great work of art
Zero comments in 5 years 🤔
What happens in the case of a drawn melee ? our first time playing these rules last Friday and we had two drawn combats , and were unsure what , should be the result ? mark
Saw this vid a couple of days ago and had to buy the box; just turned up today and looks really great. Cant wait to build and paint it
Pardon the intrusion, but Tarawa was only the second major offensive of US troops during the Pacific War, in 1943. Tarawa was very brutal and there was an intense, prolonged battle over the beach. But it is all of 1 square mile of sand, barely above the waves at high tide. There was nothing BUT beach.
wonderful idea, love it. many thanks to all three of you for doing what you are doing.
Ordered two copies of Wargames Illustrated, ended up being sent two of the same sprue for ‘Hail Caesar Epic Battles’. Disappointing and unimaginative of them, you would have thought whoever packed my order would have thought to send two different sprues?
Does your ring have something to do with the neo nazis?
Its "V" for Victory. Not 5 for Victory. It is not a Roman numeral in this case.
It isn't, read the article!
@@jambot4621 at 1:36, the host of the video states "5 for Victory". I am not talking about what the article states, but what the commentator says.
@@adiosgringo8200 It is pronounced Five for Victory. The article explains why.
Thanks Dan, enjoyed my copy. It had the Roman sprue, which I thought was very good.
Five for Victory? I think not.
Plane flies over flashing light. What's that? That's the V for victory sign, three dots and a dash. Dot, Dot, Dot, Daaa! Hey ain't you ever heard Beethovens fifth symphony? So, at about 1:30 minutes in we see the new V for Victory game by Studio Tomahawk, and he calls it 5 for Victory. Should it not be V (Vee) for Victory. I have heard this somewhere before, so am I missing something, or is there a significants of the 5?
You're missing something!
Could someone please explain to me why in 2024 with most everything produced digitally, we still get a sprue with repeated sculpts? Why can’t they all be different- I mean, its one sprue per faction, an issue with irregular armies like Gauls. We got more variants on epic 40k sprues from the early 90’s. Just seems needlessly lazy to me.
Good issue+
I don't intend to use the sprue but I'll buy the magazine. A lot of interesting ancient orientated articles to view.
Great figure review, appreciate both the overview of each sprue and the close-ups of finished models. Well done!
What a delightful video.
Such a beautiful 😍 idea 💡
I’m loving this 5 years later , small war bands sir ! I’m using zombies 🧟 😂
Great video! Hope to see more of these.

Hopefully one day I can get out there for Salute. Long trip from the USA.
Love this kit honestly nice to see it painted well
Name one actual WARGAME thats in the mag ?
Salute report snaps so tiny !
No actual wargames in it .All painting and weapons!
Alliterations doesn’t mean what you think it does
This post brings back a lot of childhood memories great post, thanks
Really nice work, I have been interested in the Franco Prussian war and keep seeing Perrys in my local store. I don't play much but I could use the rules for Valour and Fortitude to make my armys!
Bit of a long shot, but what’s the base sizes for the infantry?
Another Fantasy / Sci-Fi game please Jervis!
These kits give me a Guardian of the Galaxy or Firefly vibes.
wow impressive. I see this and want a similar treatment for the Deluge and Wars of religion too. Ohh and another on the seven years war too. Thanks in advance. 8-)
Dogs of war
For anyone watching this a year later, these models no longer have a liner. One step less in the process. Really nice buildings for the price.
I discovered it on sale for 60 EU, yet I cannot decide whether to buy it or not to buy.
Can you shoot through your own units?
Are there points costs to building armies?
Great looking edition 👍. Especially good review of the Bloody Miniatures release, I thought 😝!
What table size is ruckus played on?
Itcan be played on almost any sized table, however 4x4 or 3x 3 work best
looks amazing 👌👌👌
