You can see your recyclables from your inventory under the triangle icon. Your plundra does not hold recyclables therefore no triangle icon but your recycling bench will. (be careful and do not get confused between the recycling bench and plundra) The field radios come in handy when you deploy one. It will provide a spawn point that can be used three times. So if you are about to go into battle with big machines and you are a distance from a safe house...deploy a field radio so if you die and have to spawn to a safe house you will be able to spawn back to your field radio. Also useful when you are overladen you can drop your stuff near radio until under weight then spawn to a safe house and lighten your load and then return to the field radio and pick up your stuff.

Thank you for the video. Love this game. Don't worry..Adventure mode can/will still be quite a challenge at times. In your skills get your carry capacity and lockpicking asap. Then health, stamina. only about 32 skill points can be used for your skill set so carefully check out each tree. Recycle unwanted weapons for weapon parts. They are needed for weapon augmentation which use up a lot of parts. See you next time :)

Not sure if you are aware. You can change the "hold E" key, to just tap key. I immediately changed it when I found out, drove me up the wall.

@@DADDOnaut - Maybe to a point, but everyone plays differently so they have a different experience. I was able to get a Stalker BP and some good gear, went to the Lighthouse, and put down a bedroll but died and was able to respawn in Mayak close to the lighthouse, but died again. They wouldn't let me spawn at Mayak but way the fubar out in Timbucktu further away from where I needed to be to reclaim my body/gear so I was frustrated and just went back to my base and logged out of the game.😖🤬 Now I just watch other ppl play this game.😮💨

@@DADDOnaut - Not a man 😆... anyway, well, what do you then, take it back to ur base or trader and stow it, run back out to do missions with just a pistol if you find one in time and knife, if you survive long enough to get a shotty and ammo, and, enough rags to make a ragpack to store more items in ur inventory? 🤔😮💨 This whole process started to get old to me, over and over.😩 At least I got to accomplish 3 things- to live long enough, to build a base with a water collector and storage - get a Stalker back pack, although I didn't have it for very long.😊 Win, win and win...I beat the game no need to play it anymore, I got my money's worth.😆
4:12 I've put over 650hrs into this game over three characters. It has something, but I can't put my finger on it. I'm grateful the developers keep doing what they can to support this game. The sound design and sound stage is fantastic, and the graphical style, light sourcing and textures are certainly pretty.

It's a great game, unfortunately it's incredibly unstable performance wise and tends to crash a lot especially with multiplayer.

3p is for cheaters. sorry but not necessary, stick with fp and figure it out. way more immersive and challenging. you are on pve for heaven's sake. as the other person posted duplicate compas and radio is a waste and flashlight is a waste too, 1k hours never needed one, makes you a target in pvp for sure.
I believe that’s a valid point for those who play PvP. I don’t. I don’t see who’s getting cheated by TPV on a PvE or private server. Personally it’s important to me for some reason that I get to see my character and gear. I like to find cool looking gear, but what is it worth if I never see it? The reason for hanging on to duplicate items in this particular video is so that I can give them to my son when he has time to play with me. Thank you soo much for watching and engaging! @@DADDOnaut I get wanting to see your character and gear, but you did it in combat, like flying a drone. That was more my point. Who gets cheated? Clearly obvious in PVP, in PVE, the other's on the server who could get that gear....well it is available to them....should it be? You have the standard account then? The upgraded one comes with the compass and radio IIRC, which I have and likely biases me toward never having dupes. one thing you might try is using 4,5,f1,f2 for quick need items like the med pen, bandages as they are a quick finger reach to change to if you are on keyboard, then you don't have to go to inventory so often, food can go there as you generally stop for a bit to drink and eat. f4 is furthest so compass or radio go there IMO. Have fun with your son, the game can be a ton of fun with another player even in PVE.
@@azhockeynut8297 I think this clearly shows that servers should have the option of fps+tps, fps only, and tps only per each particular server. It may already be a thing? I can’t remember. @@DADDOnaut is a thing. when searching for servers you can select fp, fp+3p or 3p. as well as pve pvp or both. It is good they do this for sure. also the Heli's are often way harder solo than convoys as there are many spots they fall that lack sufficient cover and those war mongers will follow you a long way it seems... but they sure are fun!!! keep at it

@@melodyseverything6999 honestly, as I think I’d mentioned in the video… I’d tried it with my son years before on Xbox and it seemed super freaking hard…I can’t explain it, this run has been different. Another thing is, the age of this game… I’ve played virtually every modern “survival shooter” and then to not want to put down an old one from so far back? Yah this one caught me off guard. I’m totally digging it.. I didn’t want to stop the video. I can’t wait to play a series on this game.

PLEASE tell me what key or key/combination your "Pinky Button" is mapped to. SB2 switches from HOTAS mode to KB+M mode when any keyboard or mouse button is pressed. But, that is only half the equation. One needs a way BACK to HOTAS mode. You have apparently found it. PLEASE share that knowledge with the rest of us.

Manual mining, adjust the power of the mining laser to zero, put a couple of rubber bands around your mouse buttons and go to the pub. By the time you get back you'll be filthy rich. As has been mentioned, doesn't matter about overfilling your ship, it just takes longer to get going.
yeah, I use sticks for Elite and Star Citizen, but for X4 or Space Eng (flying part) gamepad is perfect for me.

Also I would do the mining by hand not shit due to the fact you will get more ore by doing by hand that also where the glitch comes to play
@daddonaut so hey idk what they are all saying if your wanting to make a lot of money and wanna invest some time to make the money then this is what I suggest. If you are gonna work all day get on the game fine the green stuff aka ASORTAK is the ore. Mine that for 6-8 hours.. overload yr ship and then leave to sell. If you do this and you have the carrier mining ship you will make after tax around if not close to 200 million credits. Which for me is great. Because there is a mining glitch also rn, which if you don't move your mining Lazer off the ore and keep it there it will not destroy the ore but will still collect the ore.. I know that sounds weird but it's nice and profitable and I work all day and just let my guy mine while I'm away and boom come home cash out ore and then start spending ships based men you name it !!@daddonaut gaming
My first thought was that the method you suggest would almost feel like cheating BUT it’s no different than hiring workers to do the mining for you in games like X4 Foundation. Also like you said, most of us have to work and if I’m given the choice to mine for hours in my free time or spend time with my family, I’m picking my kids every time. Also you can overload your ship and still get back to the station, I usually mine until I have 4-5 stacks of 99 each and then just go get something to drink as I warp back to sell.
Agreed, taking off and landing will need to be a future update for sure. People will be screaming that from the rooftops.
I have the x52 but it stays in the middle even though the y-axis is active all the way to the end, any suggestions?
You’re using the x52 for boundary? Or did you just mean in general on every game you play with it?

Sweet review👍 This game’s systems are all executed so expertly that it looks effortless. That’s why many gamers will find it easy to get a 6 to 7.5 out of ten impression of it while gamers who can appreciate the quality of brain-ergonomics on display in its execution of all of its systems will feel it’s a 9. Imo it’s a beautifully made, gorgeous and super-fun game. (It’s launched on Series X with a bad hanging issue that caused it to badly and regularly stall for seconds during combat but my XSX is currently downloading a 23gb patch so hopefully that cures it)

Okay, first a quick rant it's a platypus NOT an aardvark! okay, that's done 🤪 The video itself was awesome though, I agree the look seems a bit dated but they did start this 25 years ago and I believe they fully expect the modding community to go wild with ideas for starship designs, hell there might be a mod for a dream chaser at some point. I myself look the old school look of the ships in "Space 1999" excited to see your content after Starfield's release.

I think it will probably be at least Skyrim level good. But it will likely be a buggy ass mess. Unless MS helped them in their latest fork to optimize and tune Gamebryo v4 or v5 whatever the heck it is now. Even integrating all of the other pieces that they're using or replaced. I hope the MS acquisition was a good thing for them. I've always had a lot of love for Bethesda. It started to fade at Fallout 4 being very linear. Fallout 76 was a complete mess but with a good group of people I had a blast playing that trash game.
I thought I read that MS had every QC person they had on starfield. I think we will be ok.

Having no atmospheric flight really sucks. It also supports the rumor that the maps on the planets will be small.
It’ll be ok. I’ve been playing more of the outer worlds lately. No flight at all apparently still “works” for me. It’s all about managing our expectations. We’re going to enjoy it. Even if it doesn’t check every box of our “dream game”. But I’m with you… add atmospheric flight and multiplayer and im set for a very… very long time.
This better not be Fallout 4 with a new coat of pain and ENB slapped onto it. That game has a STINK that no matter how much mod you put into it, it still can't change for the better. Still the same shitty artificial gun play with the exact same recoil with edited stats. It is MEANINGLESS the more you try to mod it. The core game is unenjoyable boring slogg fest. The modded game is always broken in mysterious ways, regardless you follow all these "guide" to the T. Bottomline is, it already LOOKS like FO4.
I don’t believe that you’ll have to worry about that. I have my worries but a reprised fo4 really never crossed my mind. 🤷🏻♂️
