The larger square sail clipper ships that roamed the world were not schooners. These are fore and aft sail rigged coastal ships. Much smaller. They jammed the wind, hence they are called schooners.

I am 65 years old now, but when I was 10 my father took me to see the USS Constitution. The ship had such an affect on me I studied American history extensively and built my first model of it. To this day I am in love with sailing ships and have built many. I took my kids to it and made sure they learned American as well as world history. You must understand where you come from to appreciate it! 🇺🇸😎

What the hell are you opening the video with ""My Country, 'Tis of Thee" .... a British song? yeah, ok, so it was played as an "American" themed song... but it was ONLY played during time when the American colonies when they were still under Brittan rule. And it certainty was GONE by 1812 (when USS Constitution was made famous) as America didn't want to have ANYTHING to do with Great Britain. You should opened the video with The American National Anthem, since it TOO, was made famous during the same war and at the same time as USS Constitution. And what the Hell is the Queen Mary 2 doing there?

Lived on Mid-Coast for a number of years. Never missed a Windjammer Festival. Lived on my Pearson for a while. I miss it all. The music matched my slightly melancholy mood, longing to be back there.
