Thank you for explaining this to me like Im 5! I couldn't grasp these patterns until this video. Thank you, thank you thank you!!🙌🙌
Amazing, thank you so much. Very simple!
Still not watchable
Never understood lung patterns UNTIL I watched this video. This is super helpful.😎
Your heart sound imitations are really helpful in this video. Thank you.
For anyone new, look up gs441524. It’s a new treatment for fip. I repeat, look it up. Don’t just go off of my word

Thank you so very much for the video!
Thank you soooo much, cleared up a real problem topic for me!
Thank you, Dr. Mantis, it was a great step ahead for me in understanding pulmonary patterns interpretation.
Guys we are all professionals here; is it just me or radiography is more difficult that the rest of veterinary disciplines?
You are amazing!
Thanks
Mine was 6 years old and diagnosed with FIP. Is this possible?
yes the virus can lay dormant for years. I have heard of senior age cats showing symptoms. Thankfully. there is now treatments for the disease and is no longer the death sentence it once was. They are still in " experimental phase" but pet owners can get access to them. it is expensive so some pet owners may not be able to afford them, but they are available. There is a Facebook group that operates in the US and the UK with people who specialize in the disease and can help pet owners get the treatment because veterinarian can not sell it themselves because it has not been completely approved by organizations such as the FDA.
Do I need fluid therapy in such this case I any stage of treatment???
My poor Tiger (6years old) was confirmed to have FIP over a week ago, we suspect it was a dry FIP going to the accute wet stage. After 6 treatments (daily injections for 84 days total) i see a big difference and i suspect he is on his way to be cured. ofcourse we have to wait out the 84 days/injections and then observe him for 84 days for a relapse
You’re very lucky. My sweet boy was attacked with dry FIP and it completely took over his neurological system…
@@jazminb4218 he passed observation last januari and is cured. He turned neuro too but even that is curable if treated on time and with the right dose. Fipwarriors, of which i am now one of the admins to help treat others, has cured many 10 thousands world wide now. i am currently coaching 150 cases or so
We are on this medication for one week so far. It is so incredible I want to shout out on rooftops. I will definitely be advocating when my Stormey is done his 12 weeks
I loooove this video! Thank you,
I'm learning about this virus because I had to put one of my cat's down because he had it. Glad that I found both videos.
something to think about- at 13:50 prednisolone was discussed but prednisone was pictured which may confuse people. prednisone is not suitable for cats.
Amazing many of the parallels between this disease and COVID.
Omygod.. this was so helpful😍😍😍
where are you from?
excellent video! thank you very much! :)
I have just found this channel. As a young (almost finished) vet student, this is very helpful. Thanks so much
search for gs-441524 , FIP is not always deadly anymore, just getting your hands on the cure is hard
Thanks it was really awesome!
What heart Dieseses Don't have a Murmur??
Thank you so much for making a great video! My in-laws just got a puppy with a heart murmur, and just for fun I listened to the puppy’s heart, and it’s noticeable even to my untrained ear! Your video helped me understand what I was hearing, and I may just have another listen of her heart now. We have a really good veterinarian that we are working with, I just want to understand what’s going on.
He said not all Heart Dieseses have Murmurs .but does that mean a sethscope can't pick up a heart problem?
MSC Channel Not ALL heart diseases have murmurs. Some do. If you can hear it with a stethoscope, it might be a murmur.
@@marthahawkinson-michau9611 oh I see so wait , ok my baby had episodes of passing out like one day she just passed out in my arm I thought I lost my angel that day that's how scary it was , But there was never a Murmur found , also one doctor visit had my baby Harsh lung sounds / Tachycardic 190 , I also noticed a Very sick Dry cough? .. episodes that look like Seizures but last seconds ( 35 ) to a minute .. Restless Nights , breathing fast .. loss Appetite , ect ECT but every hospital visit no Murmur or anything Strange with the heart ?? My baby is 12/ Dachshund
@@MoneyManuel To my memory(and I am NOT trained, I play with stethoscopes for fun,) a tachycardic episode should sound like a normal heart rhythm for the most part. Well, mostly. The last time I listened to anyone with tachycardia, it was myself and it sounded like my normal heartbeat-just on fast forward. Thankfully I stopped having problems with my heart rate about the same time I recovered from my eating disorder. As for your dog? Tachycardia normally has a cause, and keep asking your dog’s doctors however many pesky annoying questions until you get the right answers. I’m definitely not qualified to give advice, as most of my medical knowledge has been gained from life experience. Unfortunately, I do feel like I’ve had more opportunities than the average person to gain “medical life experience”. Still doesn’t count as qualifications.
@@marthahawkinson-michau9611 It's along story I'm going threw so much Pain I'm going Crazy Everyday I'm devastated I talk to many um one lady doctor said she believes of a brain tumor .. another one said to me because of my angel passing out was 100% so I'm trying to see what happen there was a very dry cough I noticed long story short i was blind there was something going on
Excellent presenation...especially the sounds made .....thank you so much

My best friend went throught the same this week... she shared to me her concerns on monday, she hadn't moved from the couch for previous 24 hours and she wasn't playfull like she was a couple weeks ago.. she was in the vet by the next day, tuesday morning, blood screens showed liver damage, she was hospitalized, pluged on catethers for fluid and force fed by tube... Tursdays news were that fluid was in her abdomen and a sonogram was needed in another specialized clinic, no appointments available before 5 more days. Unfortunatly on friday morning, the kitty's health had degrated to the point that she had no more muscle tone, and that she would not make it out of it and that we should come say her goodbyes and let her go.. 3 minutes after being in my friends arms, while the vet was in the back preparing the sedation, she gave her last breath and we both saw her soul leave her eyes, we knew. We imidiatly call a technician who then called the vet who confirmed she had died, naturally, in the arm of her mommy. This happened yesterday. I am still completly shooked by what we have experienced in such a short period of time. Her cats are her babies as she doesn't desire to have any children .. The cat was adopted 7 months ago from a rescue shelter, where she probably came in contact with this disease.. we hope her 2 other cats wont developpe this as they were really close. This disease is horrible...
It´s not fatal anymore! Thanks to Dr. Pedersen it is curable. Check out GS441524.
That drug isn't readily available. Don't recommend others to get black market drugs!
My poor little snuggle baby just died of FIP. She went from fine to kind of sluggish to showing upper respiratory symptoms to horribly ill to dead within one week. She was diagnosed post-mortem. The vets (both her regular vet and the after-hours emergency vet that we visited several times through this) thought it was Cat Flu and kept giving her subcutaneous fluid and sending us home with antibiotics, but I could tell there was something seriously, seriously wrong. We are devastated. I had never heard of this disease before and now I can't stop researching any information I can get my hands on. Thank you for this video. It has helped me understand what happened to my beautiful, silly, loving little Bella and is helping me to move forward in my grief. ♥️

@@lucianingrosso1577 so unbelievably sad! Thank you for sharing your story, it helps a lot to know I am not alone ♥️
This 15+ mins presentation is gold and is far better than the lectures related to chest Xray combined from my uni. Thank you and salute to you sir.
hi, I have a question. my cat had FIP about 6 weeks ago and he has its symptoms for two weeks; it's a month that he's totally ok with no signs of FIP does it mean that he defeated this virus and won't get it again ???
Then it was probably not FIP. FIP does not go away, you have to treat it with GS441524, this is the only treatment available that can cure FIP, if not, FIP is fatal. PS: FIP is hard to diagnose, errors in diagnosis occur.
@@bucaneromax1 you are all brainwashed into believing there are injections who will CURE a VIRUS. Either cat survives it or not. But go on give GS more money, otherwise your cat will die. Thats whats promoted. Watch this comment get deleted
So corona viruses mutate? How on earth do they plan to create a vaccine for COVID-19 if Corona viruses constantly mutate?
Excellent video esp how Dr. Cobb produces the murmur sounds. TYVM for the video!
HOW CAN I GET THIS MEDICINES ...MY KITTEN ALSO DIAGNOSED WITH FIP ...PLEASE HELP ME ...I LEAVE IN CYPRUS
Connect yourself with the FIP Warriors in Facebook. They´ll guide you where to get the treatment. I hope it´s not too late. Time is unfortunately not on your side. I hope I am allowed to mention a brand. Google Mutian.

So, my 6y old female cat with an already diagnosed with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, suffered in between January 2020 to may 2020 a weird disease. She had a constant fever that wouldn’t go down even with meds, she stopped eating and had trouble breathing and began isolating herself, later on she began necrosis on the tip of her ears and she lost them. My vet told me it was most likely one of two things, leishmaniasis or PIF. Both had a terrible outcome for my cat, but with steroid treatment she began to get better and is now, healthy, has regained weight and is very happy again. We don’t know if what she had was PIF, but she survived.
Is fip contagious to other cats???😓
Not really no. So this is a form of a coronavirus and all Cats can get them and they poop it out without problems. ONLY when this harmless virus changes and mutate you get FIP and this mutation is so random it is very unusual to happen twice in one household
My cat was just diagnosed with heart murmurs, thanks for helping me learn more about it and stay informed :-)
Sign of a good teacher - making it simple to understand, thank you
