  John: many birds have defective walking aspects in their gait. Long legged birds like storks are among them. They have defective gaits as their tendons and Ligaments take a while to catch up with the rest of their developing physiology. Probably this most likely will be placed in a Rehab bird sanctuary --perhaps being fitted with a bandage to reinforce any weak ligaments until it has full use of that limb or leg. I've seen a young Fawn left by Mom after birth(triplet fauns) as it could not keep up with Mom and It's and 2 siblings. A man(living near Yellowstone Park--USA) found it and made a brace for(one leg) it out of a Quaker Oats cereal box. He kept it in his yard and was loved by his dogs and played with them. After the man(eventually) found Mom and half grown siblings on nearby land, he released the rehabbed Dear and all 3 and Mom were seen(in a video) jumping over a 4 ' barbed wire fence on man's property. Mom weighed a little too much and just ducked under bottom wire. A happy family together because one man's faith in nature's healing power. It's on Y T" Mom Deer abandons newborn fawn. Man helps it". 8 yrs ago 14 million views. There are several Video versions of this Story and this one may not have the 3 reunited (now grown) White tailed deer jumping the fence---But first part of the story is certainly there with newborn limping abandoned deer being left behind by mom and two other Siblings But a happy ending to the story as all were reunited---and i expect this baby stork will end up the same way and be a released stork in time and go on it's migration to Africa or parts of middle east.
