💛Letting Go of Society & the World & Embracing the Love of Jesus Christ💛

My move to Mexico in 2021 brought challenges, yet I trust God's purpose in it. I believe the broken life I've lived also has a purpose - to help women navigate theirs or to avoid brokenness altogether. After a lifetime of rebellion, I now live for Jesus Christ. I've shed feminist and liberal views for traditional Christian values and it's on my heart to encourage women in their faith journeys. Together, let's break free from societal norms, striving to embody God's intended purpose for our lives. You're not alone in your struggles; join me on this transformative journey.

    We don't have an actual junk drawer, we have a spot in our closet where we keep some tools and paint supplies and it becomes a junk spot especially when my husband brings tools down from the shed for a certain project and then never takes it back and it gets puts in the closet with everything else until I go through it and takes stuff back to the shed. But the biggest place that is our junk drawer is the shed because we have containers of screws and bolts that came from certain things and my husband says I can possibly use it for something else.

    @@samanthadudley6412 I admit I never throw away various screws and bolts and stuff like that because they do often come in handy. But I organize all that stuff at least. I might be a bit OCD about it, but it makes me feel better. 😊

    I have been wanting to get rid of our kids trampoline because every time my two youngest boys play on it they always wrestle on it and one always gets hurt and the only time it gets used is when they play on it or when the kids next door comes over and plays on it. But my husband says no because the kids still plays on it from time to time but I keep telling him that I want to get rid of it mainly because of the kids could get hurt on it, I would especially feel bad if it is the kids next door that got hurt on it. It is in our backyard and we are planning on fencing in our backyard but I just haven't had the money to do it yet but until then I know the kids next door will still come over and play on it from time to time.

    @@samanthadudley6412 Yeah, they can be dangerous. Like old swimming pools and swing sets, some just can’t bring themselves to part with them because they might’ve cost a lot of money or they worry the kids will be upset (even if they no longer use them). But give it time and eventually your husband will be onboard. 👍🏼

    When I was in college, I got introduced to Wicca, and practiced it for twenty years. As you might expect, it "worked" for me off and on. My spells would bring me what I wanted, what I cast for, and then something would happen that would bring the opposite. At the time, I thought it was because of "negative energy," and would just keep casting spells to counteract it. Of course, now I know that this happened because what I was unknowingly serving was not God, or "a god," but the enemy, and the enemy loves nothing more than to taunt and torment people. My final spell was cast two weeks after I started dating a Christian man. My plan was for us to be a mixed faith relationship. I figured he could go ahead and be a Christian, and I'd keep being a Wiccan. But I did want to be a good girlfriend, and reverse all of the previous spells I had cast about another person and to keep Christians away from me. I did part one of the spell. As I began part two, the absolute worst feeling I have ever had washed over me. I suddenly knew who I was serving and where I was going if I were to continue on this path. At this same moment, a firm but loving voice entered my mind. It said, "You don't need spells! You are my child and I love you. I was always here." This happened so quickly, I don't know if that voice came first, or if me praying "Jesus? I don't want this anymore. I can't do this. I feel like a slave to this. I want to give my life to you" was first. But they both happened, and the second I prayed that prayer, the evil presence turned tail and fled. I jumped up out of the bathtub I'd been using to cleanse myself for my spell, put on some mundane sleepwear, and walked back to my room, thanking my new Lord and Savior for saving me. The room, which had been my main spell casting area, had never felt clean before, even though I deep cleaned the place, dusting, vacuuming, and changing sheets every single week, and took at least one shower a day, sometimes two, every day that I lived there. That night, it finally felt clean. I slept peacefully that night for the first time in a long time, and upon waking the next morning, I put all of my witchcraft supplies into the dumpster to be taken to the dump and incinerated, and texted my boyfriend that I had been saved by Jesus. I then learned that my boyfriend had been praying for me, and had asked his whole church to pray for me, since we first became friends and he learned I was practicing witchcraft. The man who was my boyfriend is my husband now. And me...I no longer believe in religion of any sort. I don't need a religion. I just need Jesus.

    WOW, Jessica!! The good L-rd seems to have us in the same spot, we're being grounded! While He is taking care of us, He has us in a scary spot too. All I can think of is Psalm 46:10, the story of Jesus/ Peter walking on water ( for a second) and I praise G-d for His goodness, His love, His mercy - when the anxiety rises I focus on God's character. We too are out of options with no moves left to make. Could you consolidate your projects into one place that would be everything? I'm praying for you. Just no a/c would do me in 😢.

    I'm starting to think the reason my prayers aren't being answered is because I'm not listening to the Holy Spirit and that He has been trying to get me to do something, but I'm ignoring Him. I just recorded an episode yesterday about this, but it won't be released on my channel until August 23 (yes, I have episodes scheduled up until late August). Well, I'm not over 40, I'm actually closer to your children's age. But I still did many important things when I wasn't really a Christian. I mean, I've always believed in God, but it wasn't a priority for me to pray, to follow God's will and all that, which I'm sure you understand. For example, I've been married for 9 years but we never got married in a church, it's only a civil marriage, and since I became a Christian, I've wanted to get married in church, so I've been praying for my husband to want the same. He's like I used to be, believes in God but Christianity is not really his priority. What I mean is, even if I'm still quite young, it's been difficult to adapt to a different lifestyle as well, so I get what you say. Like you said, we shouldn't follow society, but God, and that tends to be challenging. By the way, since you talked about marriage, have you read the book "The meaning of marriage" by Timothy Keller? I read it last year and I think you would like it 💜

  • @JessicaUntethered
    @JessicaUntethered7 ай бұрын

    It's very difficult to enter into a Christian lifestyle (no matter your age) especially when you're already married and your husband or wife isn't on the same page as you. But never give up! A great Bible verse for this situation is (1 Peter 3:1 - Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives) Never stop praying that God will give your husband a new heart. (Ezekiel 36:26 - I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.) I will definitely be praying for you and your husband as well. 😊❤ The Enemy wants you to give up, so remember that when you get discouraged over the situation. No, I haven't read that book yet, so I'll have to add it to my list for sure.

    I did put a note in the video reassuring readers that I still plan to finish WINDS OF THE IRON FEATHER, so no worries! 😊

    That man sounds like he wanted to be, as they say in the American urban vernacular, a "player."

    Wow! What a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing with us. To this day, that book is still my favorite. It means so much to me. It was the answer to your prayers, but it might have answered my prayers too. I was in a really bad mental state at the time when I read it, and it was about the same time I met my husband. Our story has some things in common with Andrew and Camryn’s story, and somehow I knew he was the right person. It might seem crazy, but your book gave me hope. About getting better and about marrying my husband. We are still married, almost 10 years later. He helped me overcome depression and other mental issues. I’m sorry for the long comment, but I really felt like sharing this with you after watching the video. So, thank you ❤
