    You cannot directly vent these into a living space. You must use a air-air heat exchanger. Ever hear of Legionaires disease?

    This is stupid idea. Rather than this do a filler slab using the same pots it will insulate and also be sustainable.

    I wish terrace gardening and water harvesting was encouraged for managing temperatures and coping with water scarcity in urban cities.

    This technology was invented possibly as far back as three millennia ago in Egypt, and definitely used (or reinvented) in Persia fifteen centuries ago. Look up windcatcher tower, malqaf, or badgir. It appears that the system shown here isn't as efficient as those and would require more work to install.

    It may be a good at preventing heat, but it's laborious and a bit costly. There's no room left for walking or doing other tasks on the roof

    Looks promising. I would suggest raising the opening to much higher. So the air coming in isn't so hot or dusty to begin with. More heat and particles will be closer to the ground. Heat rises of course but will disperse as it rises.

    During day time, when sun heated the air outside , the hot air rise up creating vaccum with low pressure,so the cold air from inside home will come out through the pipe to fill up the vaccum. However, at night the air outside become cold earlier than room, so the air would move into room from outside. So, its not viable option.

    Where are these informations come from? So, if that would work, we also built chimneys all the time wrong too! I am amazed, because the wind has to come all the time from the same side AND the Wind has to be stronger then the pressure from the heated air inside of the house, which wants to leave the house in both chambers of the chimney.

    Im curious can the Bernoulli effect be used if you have flowing water to use the sucktion to get out the hot air

  • @itorapadas
    @itorapadas14 күн бұрын

    Cause these are located in desert or desert like environments, hot air enters through the catcher and helps extract "hotter" air inside. It doesn't cool like a modern airconditioner but helps remove hotter stale air inside dwellings.
