it's interesting watching the pf style of debate coming from tp background, but i found it interesting during the crossfire section because it seemed like the debate lost it's formality to an extent

the resolution was on balance, the benefits of United States participation in the North American Free Trade Agreement outweigh the consequences, basically the participation of the united states in the north american free trade agreement does more good than bad, the first guy negated (disagreed) with that point

All the debaters were incredible, but Devesh was definitely a step above the rest. Also very impressed that those kids from Flanagan got so far being from the South (as I am) which is always an underrepresented region but MAN were they bad sports. Mad respect to Devesh and Ishan who were cool as a cucumber the whole time lol

I’m sure your not, but realize that these debaters and judges have been researching and learning about this topic for weeks, if not months, which allows them to catch up on the information faster.

I'm not a fan of the "uh huh" "yup" interruption tactics. Comes across as super rude. Also this frantic talking like the girl and the winning teams 1st speaker? I need a Xanax. But I enjoyed the exchanges by the teams in many places when the pacing was good.
