Poko Traveler

Poko Traveler

I do walking tours around Cleveland, Ohio and other cities I visit across the United States.

I narrate what I'm seeing, and encourage users to subscribe and share their memories of a neighborhood I've been through. Other cities that I've featured on this channel include Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Seattle, Phoenix, St. Louis, Denver, and other parts of Northeast Ohio. The name Poko Traveler stems from a portion of my name and my hobby for traveling.

    We are going there this morning! This video was very helpful, giving me an idea of the layout of the market. Unlike you, I'm excited about the fruit and vegetable section! 😆😋

    I spent 2 weeks/year here as a volunteer at the Cleveland International Film Festival until it was ‘evicted’, moving to Playhouse Square. That fountain was a great place to people-watch during breaks.

    My brother and I used to work at the West Side Market. One afternoon we were throwing trash in the dumpster and found a dildo laying in the alley. We took it inside and wrapped it up in foil and gave it to a friend of ours saying it was some beef jerky. Boy he was not happy when he unwrapped his jerky.

    Amtrak needs to move to Tower City. This would be safer and even more pedestrians traffic at TC. Cleveland Rocks.

    I get the front for free with my status and never take it. Not comfortable. But row two and three are great. They need to do away with the blocked two two.

  • @PokoTraveler
    @PokoTraveler9 күн бұрын

    Interesting; what makes rows 2 and 3 more comfortable to you? Is it even more leg room (i.e. being able to stretch them under the chair in front of you as opposed to having a wall)? I've ridden row one twice before, otherwise my other 20+ times on Frontier have been rows 6 or later.

  • @RA-fm8wr
    @RA-fm8wr9 күн бұрын

    On especially the older A320 or 321s the wall is closer to you then the seats in front on row 2 and 3. Im Diamond so fly Frontier alot and have seen the 2nd row open alot and flight attendants ask people if they want to move back for more room. Rows 4 actually have a little more room than others back due to them allowing for recline on 3 (for older airbuses) but I certainly wouldn't prefer row 5 and back (unless exit). I must clarify the legroom on new 320/321s is better 1st row but I still avoid it. Perception obviously may not be reality, I realize, since the front row gets selected on almost every flight I take. BTW. Great vids you are producing. Like the sleeping ones and more budget oriented take the bus you are doing. We fly Dever alot and its good to have that info if needed

    Full flights can be very crowded and with the many flights you do have the chance to go over another flight and with the feel of the flight you can get the latter flights that are at the low levels of the passenger loads.

    @user-tk7ou2ok4j10 күн бұрын

    As a reviewer that i absolutely correct when you have a disabled person that is to check in before the flights and the the many flights is that you must with the seating you can get prior boarding and yet you caa get the early seating .

    St. Louis is basically a stage of events for suburbanites. The City itself is too ghetto culture, with businesses moving out due to constant broken windows from gunfire and defunded police by globalists. The first skyscraper, the Wainwright Building, is now up for bids starting at $5 million, as the state is moving out all of the workers in that building. The problem will be keeping vandals out of the historical building. The first skyscraper. So sad.

    Quick history: the “main terminal” which is B/C plus the atrium, was the “new” CLT opened in the early 80s which became a hub for Piedmont. The expansion wing of original A followed next, originally a straight shot down that hallway, but new concourses are opening parallel to original A. Terminal D added improved international customs/processing, while E as you note is for regional jets. Twenty five years ago most of E was just a big holding room where you’d be called to different doors for different cities; now with RJs and jetways replacing turboprops E is more like a regular concourse. The airport has grown awkwardly and until the current renovations pax originating and departing CLT still had to deal with the original 80s terminal. That should be done in the coming months. Still I drive from Charlotte to RDU frequently for lower costs and more choices.

    Wow, this was such a treat. I am 58 yrs. Old and originally from the westside of Cleveland. I lived on Wst. 17th until 1974/75 where My grandfather died at home then my mom and I moved to 1909 Freeman ave. Until 1977 when moved to Chicago where Ive been stuck ever since. I always missed home especially the West side Market. My father was accidently killed in a pool hall in Oct. 1966 by his own cousin. that used to be a blockd down from the Market on West 25th. So much history on the West side. In your video the last white building that's all boarded up on the right side before reaching the corner of Wst 65th. I remember it was a clinic of some sort and I used to go there with my Grandpa in the early 70's he passed in 73". He was layed out at Stas funeral home on Columbus Dr. It no longer exists. Whenever I hear music by The Eagles, Peter Frampton, The Stylistics, Pink Floyd I reminisce of Cleveland's yesteryear's. I remember as a little girl going downtown on the transit to public square seeing the animated figures during the holidays at Hallie's and Higgbee's. Aah The Cleveland memories are the best in my mind. And when some smart a$$ ask's me when i say I'm from Cleveland they'll say "eew, what's in Cleveland? I say too them "The Rock Hall of fame that's what! 😊 Cleveland may be quiet and dreary but over noisy crime infested Chicago I'll take that anyday. Cleveland is My home and I wouldn't trade that for the world. Someday I'll be back and I'll pay a visit with my Mom's ashes. The Westside Market is my favorite place. ❤

    The problem with Tower city, and the rest of the malls around the country is the quality of staffing and the management, allowing the store to close at any given time once that happens the mall will die Tower cities on borrow time

    It's the sixth busiest airport in the U.S. There's hardly anyone there at 6 am. It gets real busy during the day. You have to wait forever to get baggage in baggage claim and they basically doubled the parking rates recently. I guess that's to help pay for the expansion and all of the upgrades.
