  I comment this to maybe save some time to somebody: if when you open the map in the game never appears the gimmicks, make sure you save the map in .scc (stepmania 5 format), not .sm (just stepmania). I dont know how many times i have created the map already xDDD.

  Can you please do a guide on modifying tick counts per hold? Like with some songs for example before a drop, a long hold arrow before will spam your combo count up to an average of maybe 30 per second.

  That one is pretty simple! There's a "tick" modifier that changes the number of ticks per beat. I think it's in the same menu as speed/scroll/warp/etc. I don't remember what the default is, but if you want ticks/second you'll just need to do some simple math to figure out how many beats is 1 second. Fairly straightforward iirc!

  @@dj505 Yup, I just found it in the F4 menu, and the default is 4. I tried playing around with it. I noticed it maxes out at 48 - does this have something to do with the note snap maximum at 192nd? Also, is there a way to make the tickcount exclusive to the specific difficulty? It seems like when hopping between difficulties with F5 and F6, the tickcount carries over to all difficulties instead of the individual ones.

  @@radanju3 gotcha! I don't know much about the StepMania built in editor, so I wasn't sure where it was buried, but that's the one. You'll have to change "song timing" to "step timing" or something like that to avoid modifiers applying to everything

  @@radanju3 No problem! Song/step timing always threw me off when I was starting out and I originally thought the only way to fix it was to manually edit the ssc file, haha. Have fun!

  I just started trying to make my own custom charts with ArrowVortex, and learning how to use the SM5 was being nearly impossible because I just couldn't find any documentation on using the SM5 tempo menu. Your videos have helped me a lot in beggining to understand more about it, so thanks a bunch! :D Just joined the Discord as well. Really really reeeaaallly hope you get more and more of those videos out, because there seems to be so many possibilities for gimmicks and etc!

  I used to play this game a lot here in the PH. It was actually a good game and kind of cool because of its acoustic drum cabinet. However, it lacked in terms of marketing and promotion. Maintenance costs for this mschine is quite expensive compared to drum mania. Thats why a lot of amusement get rid of it.

  1. I can't remember, this was a very long time ago 2. StepF2 doesn't come with the media packs, only the base files. You need to download the media packs on the StepF2/StepP1 blogspot page for them to all appear

  - Install Project OutFox - Download the theme code from the repository, or download the latest release from the releases tab - Unzip the theme into the /Appearance/Themes directory of the OutFox installation - Add songs like you would to a typical StepMania install - done :)

  You can certainly use the same firmware! However I would recommend just using a Raspberry Pi Pico instead of one of these boards, which would be much cheaper

  When I adjust the stretch speed, it took effect on ALL CHARTS AND DIFFICULTIES, and when I try to delete it, it does for all. How can I just apply it for a specific chart?

  I did answer this in the Discord, but for anyone else who stumbles across this: Close the chart in whichever editor you're using, if it's not the StepMania built-in editor. Open the chart up in any StepMania-based editor (StepP1, etc) and hit "T" to change from song timing to chart timing. Save, quit, and continue editing in your editor of choice!

  How did I not find out there's a documentary about this game until now lol. Awesome work! This game was in a few select arcades in Singapore as well, though now I think all of them have been exported elsewhere. I think I still have my IC card for this somewhere in my house. I've also been trying to get this game preserved as well but it's been in my backlog since this game is really not well-known at all.
