does it work for both release and attack time?
Ridiculous cocaine-addled captions that serve no purpose; fake zooms; "let's jump into it".... all in all, you get an F-minus! Congrats!
Nice video man! 0 Comments is a bit sad so here I am to save the day! Have you tried the Pico Canyon? I'm torn between this pedal and that one (one being Analogue, the other Digital) - both around the same price point and size. I'm after a mini delay so if you have any other recommendations let me know thanks!
Great Demo, Thanks...Nice Supro BTW.
Thanks, Brad! Very helpful video. I’ve got a Vox AC-15 and Supro Delta 12 in my studio trying to see which to get. I found the Vox has got tons of sound variety but you have to keep the volume and Master high to hear the beauty but unfortunately lots of extra amp noise. I found this Delta 12 not very noisy at all and generally a beautiful tube sound, tighter, warmer. Vox is more jangly but unique in its own right. Then I put the Universal Audio Dream pedal in front of both and realize the Dream with the Delta 12 can help the Delta sound more jangly if needed. Next off to try the Laney Supercub against these.
Preamps never make a big difference until you start stacking them. Try 24 tracks of Neve vs UAD then you'll hear a difference.
Nice job! Many thanks!
Are you... Sean Penn?
Ive always get the jist that this amp may be , or may not be the sounds your looking for if you're after a 5f1 champ tone ! But they never elaborate on it. Guess ill have to plug into one n' find out
The best demonstration would be to put a signal with lots of peaks in it through the LA2A in compress mode and bounce to another audio track, and do the same in limit mode and then compare the 2.
Is this a sponsored video?
No, this is independent. I wasn’t contacted by either Strymon or York to produce this video.
Got the 12. Very nice👍
Does this have midi?
I’m getting the Delta King 12 because of this review. Excellent guitar playing brother
Thanks James and glad the review helped. The Delta King is a great amp!
York Audio KW 412 M25-SH
I was at my local GC the other day in May 24, and got some great jazz and rockabilly on a supro DK12 with a D'Angelico archtop and low end Squire Tele. I pulled off a mean Luther Perkins riff for Johnny Cash's "Wreck of The Old 97". ❤
I have this pedal. I wouldn't use the word "transparent" to describe it. There's a very audible "suck" when you engage it. It never earned a place on any of my boards.
10 is always better for studios more dialed in if your going to go big then go big 20 watts or more.
Always get a 12" combo if you can. But I'm now seeing a few 8" Supros on reverb for as little as $200. That is such a deal if you are in that area.
What ever it is, I,preferred the never 88m on the vocals. I heard the same way you heard re:Twin X/88RS
Still a beautiful song to this day
Thanks, glad you found it and enjoy it!
Im same way Ive got reverb pedal that will do spring hall plate fuck knows what else. if i record guitar dry now means that ive got spend time messing around plugins as i was with my pedalboard XD
I owned the UAD appollo system and mess of overpriced plugins for a number of years and can say that i am glad i sold it and switched to a few pieces of choice hardware. The converters in the uad are ok but become brittle with certain frequencies that is amplified while using some of their plugins. The neve 88m sounds better and you will hear it more and more when layering tracked material.

which pack is best for cleans?
which Twin were you using (Duo or Quad)? Did you have any plugins in its signal path?
This is the Apollo Twin X Quad. Nothing was in the signal path besides the preamps and/or the Iridium for the guitar tones. Same variables for each.
thanks for doing the comparisons, really well done. @@Bradjohnsonmusic
How has your progress been?
2:54 r2d2 sounds
88M all the way! HAND MADE in The UK and it'll NEVER go out of date as it can be used as two standalone preamps too! The 88R Pres are just pure gold, just ask Al Schmidt at Capitol Studios, they have two 88RS desks there.
Any thoughts on which to use for didgeridoo amplification ?
I have the 88M and i love it.Can you do a comparison of the 88M and the Heritage audio i73?
You should rename your channel to The Behringerizer.
I have the YA Bassman, Twin, and DR cabs on my Iridium Fender. As majority of my session work uses Fender models. they sound great. It’s nice to be able to carry around Fractal level modeling in a pedal :-)
Neve 88M 👍
One trick I use with editing vocals, which works with Reaper (and probably other DAWS) is when I use Melodyne, I always save my project. Then when I have to make more edits, I just open it up, make the changes, then REPLACE the old .wav file with the updated one. It'll update automatically in Reaper. That is so handy! It doesn't matter how many times you cut up the audio in the DAW. It'll update & be perfect in the DAW, AS LONG AS you save the wav file the same every time. If you saved a section, you have to save the exact same section every time! If you saved the entire project in Melodyne, you have to save the entire project every time. I even use Melodyne if some notes were sung too loud. I'll open the edited version in Melodyne & lower the volume of the note with the amplitude tool. Then resave it, to once again replace the old wav file.😎
The problem I'm having is if I have to tune vocals more than 1 full step (2 notes) it makes my voice sound weird. I know people are going to say "just sing better, and you won't have to move the notes very far." The problem with that is I'm recording new, original songs & sometimes I don't even know the exact notes... or later, I'll say "Man, it sounds better if I sing THIS note." I tried the formant tool, but it doesn't help.
i am trying to compare neve 88m with RND Pres.. there is a price diff but getting a Ruper neve pre vs this one, is on my mind. Any experiences?
I don't have any experience with the RND Pres. If you're looking for an open Neve sound that can be clean or gritty, and you want it in an USB interface format, the 88M is a great option and the most affordable for two channels.
@@Bradjohnsonmusic thanks, i am also leaning towards 88M.. its so much more than just pre and has great mobility value. I am also on UAD apollo twin. I might find great diff in raw recordings, specially when done multi layered ones. Thanks your review helped a lot.
@@amalgami, you're welcome! Yeah, I actually run the sends of the preamps into the Apollo Twin when I record. This way, I can take advantage of tracking/monitoring through plugins. It's a great combo, and they stack nicely on top of one another, so it doesn't take up too much space.
I feel like the Neve has a more 'natural' and open sound, and the Apollo seemed a little pinched and sterile. I'm thinking of investing into the Neve to get more real sounding audio into my computer.
Yeah after tracking some songs using the Neve 88M on vocals, it definitely has more fidelity than the Apollo Pres. I still love my Apollo, but I prefer tracking through the Neve.
Apollo converters are really terrible bad , certainly none of your customers will ever be able to notice differences that may seem like small nuances but I guarantee you that once your songs have been mastered the difference between Neve and Apollo will be heard in all its dramatic difference in better in favor of neve obviously
Stamp that
I have watched almost every other review of the supro delta king ten. This is the first one that shows the unique vintage sounds you demonstrated! Great demo. Thank you!
New to electric guitar. Can you use a tremolo pedal with the 10?
Yeah, you totally can. Just be aware that you may get a bit of squish from the tubes (not always a bad thing!) if you are running the amp hot.
What mic are you using in the video?
This is a T-47 that I built from Microphone Parts (microphone-parts.com/collections/microphone-kits/products/t47-microphone-kit ). If you know your way around a soldering iron, it's a great microphone and project. The main microphone that I've been using lately is the UA Sphere LX, but that needs two mic inputs, which the Grace does not have. Thanks for watching the video!
Fun video!
I’ve had mine pre ordered before it released. Trust me coming from Apollo twin > Apollo X8 > Rme Babyface. Neve 88M should be standard for home studios. Apollo plugins are native now so the interface itself is useless. Hell even luna is native. We also have M1 macs now so no need for DSP. also the $200 Volt series has the same converters as the $3000 Apollo X8. And unless you get the Apollo Solo (which basically is a volt with dsp built in) you can’t use it Bus powered so you can’t record in Your car or outside the studio or anywhere without a wall socket. And you have to buy all the plugins separate. Yes I already fell into this trap which is why I’m just here to say get a neve 88m. The rest of this is me rambling. Enjoy. It was the only interface that actually changed how my mix translates. Except for the apogee flagship $6000 interface which is the only option that I’ve worked with I would put In front of neve 88m. The apogee makes whatever goes through it sound like it’s literally in the same room with you. Apollo is trash. RME if your not feeling the Neve. RME is cheaper because it doesn’t say neve in front. Jk digital circuitry unlike the analog circuitry in 88M they both have pretty great conversion but clean preamps + total mix with RME which i guess you could compare to Uad console. Apollo is great for beginners ready to give all their money away to a company for sub par results because your thinking your getting this massive recording studio in this one little package. you’ll be disappointed not knowing you can only run maybe what 10 plugins if that on your dsp chip and those plugins go $150-$300 each. then when you want more you have to buy either a bigger Apollo (which is what I did like a idiot) or the dsp box now you have way too much $ into your interface alone. when you could’ve bought Slate subscription for $10 bucks equally as good analog emulation plugins and a Volt interface for $100 used and get the same results as any Apollo interface with dsp from the solo to X16. Put the rest of your budget towards a kaotica eyeball or Ashton halo if your constantly in different rooms and environments. and any nice condenser of your choice and you’ll have a professional studio anywhere. Just don’t overthink and get what you need for your application. whatever you feel in your gut go with it. But just hope an Apollo isn’t in your gut that’s the devil in your life ready to make you go broke better off just getting robbed at gunpoint.
I needed this. I'm a new Luna user since it is native and I track try though an antelope interface😂. I did buy the pro version of Luna Just to have the lovely api vision console.
any opinions on RND vs AMS neve pres?
Sound like you just hate UAD
@@wildmilneobviously you’ve never used neve outboard gear or sat un front of a neve console. I had an apollo twin x and sold it. Even the 270$ BLA sounds warmer than an apollo. BLA has vibe. BLA has mods for apollo gear. Apollo sounds narrow and artificial …and you have to work like crazy to get it to sound decent. This guy above knows what’s up

Any updates on this service?
Yes, I've now done 60 sessions over the past several months. It is a fantastic service if you can keep yourself organized and have a strong idea of what you want out of your songs. The musicians have been fantastic and they can really elevate your songs. There is some trial and error with trying different musicians and learning which ones work best in your workflow, but once you dial it in, it's a smooth process. There are audio editors that are apart of the service, but I'd suggest honing your editing skills so you can keep projects moving forward quickly. They are running a good deal right now with Black Friday. If you decide to sign up to give it a go, let me know and I can get you a free session while you are on the waitlist.
Where can I hear what you have worked on?
Also, you can tweak each IR in the Impulse Manager...Treble, Bass and Volume can be adjusted in each IR.
You heard correct. The Neve is more open
Ive tried things like submit hub as well.... some paid, some free. paid is actually useful to hear EXACTLY what that particular blog is looking for. just to saying progressive metal or chill hiphop can be vague in 2023. Got some low level placements but thick skin going in is necessary.
neve❤❤❤❤❤ i used all but stop on neve
If the goal is analog sound, why convert it to digital?
Thanks for going to all that work to demo these products. I really like the sound of the Iridium through the Neve 88M.
