Did u wash the boat before?
Thx a lot!
Anyone ever tell you, you look and sound like Brian Deegan ?
Can't get it on Amazon
Will it remove holograms?
How much did it cost for the highlander i want to ceramic coat mine as well.
On a black gelcoat, would choptop with rotary, yellow wool leave any hazing or swirls? I've already corrected/compound it ,If it was your personal boat, would you bother with using shine supply classic polish to finish, if you were going for the most gloss?, or what product would produce that, with what pad? Going to ceramic coat with Nasiol zr53, so I'm trying to get the surface to a near perfect gloss
Just watched his video he doesn’t post much but been watching him for years, I do like the music part even though you miss his comments but it’s better than the rotary. Did you get that boat done Scott ? Was it what you wanted ?
@@glenngray1201 all gelcoat is not the same composition, especially black. 18 hours later it was like a mirror, coating failed because one of the polishes I blended with had fillers and contaminated the surface and had to re polish and used a different coating.
G-Day - is this the pad you used ??? Regards H ......... Rupes DA Ultra-Fine White Polishing Pad
A good sound will improve your video.
Mine must be getting to bad...spent 2 hours on the foredeck of a 25ft pursuit Denali...didn't get anywhere close to this but it's a very different (diamond style) non skid. Going to try to brush on a spinner next.
Very good result, I could not hear what that mix was. Degreaser 50/50 with gasoline?
I've watched all your videos they are really good and you're getting good at making them now too keep up the good work
what would be the starke alternative to smoove wax. Good video. I'm be doing my non skid tomorrow.
How much pressure do you apply to pad??
What pad did you use. Cutting pad or polishing pad or finishing pad ????
White rupes pad so polishing
Rupes DA Ultra-Fine White Polishing Pad R9.DA150S
How much did you charge for this whole job?
I started using these a few weeks ago with DA. Amazing results the new go to.
Do you have to get a certain pile height to use this pad with DA? I'm trying to decide if I should use this purple foam wool or orange foam.
I actually switched out from orange pads to this purple 6 5" . Inwoukd try one first. Plus results will depend on the surface you're working g with. But you can't go wrong.
@@jamesjannell8706 My boat really isn't too bad but I was thinking I would go starke elevate on purple foam wool and then polish with starke triple p on white foam. I have never polished a boat before so it's been a lot to learn. From what it seems as long as I use a DA with these then I shouldn't be able to mess it up. Thanks
And you will be amazed at the finish even though it's wool. Good luck.
Very hard to hear you. Dump the music.
How much Gtech ceramic would I need to do the hull of a 24 foot Cobia CC. It has bottom paint so the coating will be above the water line
How long do the batteries last on the cordless
I polished for about 3 hours and still had 1 bar left on the battery level indicator
Imar or 303 way quicker also last with the hot sun of the southwest just remove them on the hottest months.
Thanks for the video! I also so your review with SMOOVE Bubble Gum. Have your tried their other products like the Pro-Cut 1000 compound?
Not yet! I will give it a try. Thanks Brian!
😂 Never use a Magic Eraser on vinyl. It removes the vinyl and the dye.
hey man, does the Stark Level R ever get sticky? I effed up and bought 3m wax and compound all in one and my gelcoat is literally sucking it up and makin my wool pad stick like crazy.. I only did a couple of spots and giving up with the 3m dual purpose. my gel coat is sucking the compound up big time it seems. will stark help me get me back on track? thanks man
Use soft scrub use a sponge wipe it on leave it on all day scrub off with water and 303 it works the best
I do watch you and Sub , Even leave a comment. Here and there but I never once get a reply back … why is that … ?
I appreciate your support Glen!!
My dealership told me the warranty is mandatory and it cost $695 is that normal?
I would avoid getting a ceramic coating from a dealership. Contact your local detailer
Hi thanks for the upload man! I'm new to detailing boats. I had a quick question. . . . do you do this on speed 1? I wasn't sure if that was what you said in your video. I am going to be working with the cordless Milwuakee 7' Rotary polisher
How does it affect the gel coat
Nice work as always , but I think we would all enjoy a more involved work video like you were doing . A lot of shorts and just not entertaining for your subs but that’s just my opinion.. Peace.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll make some longer vids showing more steps. These short vids are more useful for my local Google search results
Don't get that coating on your skin bubba I have had issues with coding burning my skin and leaving nasty rashes. If you're laying on the boat with your hand and you're putting handprints on the boat. I have been doing coding since they first came out one company used to sell little bottles with the droppers a little plastic insert inside I usually go to a beauty supply store and get a little bottle so that I can just do drips cuz that coating goes a long way. Great video so far though hopefully a few of my tips might help you as you're helping others. The European brown bottles have a plastic insert already put into them and you can get them up to 100 ml bottles that way you're just getting drip drip drip they are actually worth buying. Those dark holes look great after you code them but what a pain I did a 42 yellow fin black ones and it came out and looked amazing but it was like chewing nails doing the coating making sure there was no swirling from the coating lots of towels used on that one.
Anything to make your job easier. Definitely trying this product. Thanks!
Have you tried any of nautical one products at all?
I’m definitely doing this to mine this year. Looks easy AF.
How did it go? Just curious?
Still your favorite?
What's favorite product for swirl removal from newer black car. Nice work,
Looks great. Have you compared this with totalboat totalbuff
We need more boat vids man !
What if it's a black boat will it remove rhe color
I hope you were well compensated for your hard work!
We need more boat videos man. Been using STARKE and Smoove because of you
Are you rinsing with just water? Or something mixed with water?
I think he said water with optimum no rinse
I use 3m gel coat compound l work 12 minutes 600 rpm cut and polish 2 steps and one
See ya !!
I’d highly suggest using a polisher to apply - great work though good ol fashion elbow grease 😉
I see starke has level R and then restructure. What do you recommend for a heavy oxi boat. I have already wet sanded with 1500
LevelR says it will do post wet sanding, I’ve had limited results since it diminishes almost a little too quickly. I use Total Boat’s Total Buff for a post wet sanding. Starke Level R may work post wet sand, but I didn’t like how much wet sanding ghosting was polished in. I am a Level R fan since you can push the boundaries of skipping a wet sand and achieve amazing deep gloss with phenomenal results.
Can this starke lvl r be a one step buff then wax?
for gtech base coating what temp is too cold ? night time temps here are getting down into mid 30s with 59f daytime highs
gotta keep that pad flat!!
Actually you don't need to, been detailing 24 years.
So after using compound hit it with this on either a da or rotary to swirls and holograms??
You finished with elevate and an orange foam pad?
