Hmm, I always used form oil on all boards to make them last longer and easier to clean. Also, ALWAYS did strip and face on all steps. Most of the time we would use chainsaw bar oil on the faces that were going to get faced. Much cleaner look.

I just drop rusty tools into a small tub of white distilled vinegar. It removes all the rust with no electricity or wire brushing. You just have to remove the tools and neutralize the acid residue the vinegar leaves behind on the part with a simple rinse and dry with water and a towel. Ive been doing it for years and it works perfectly
@Take_And_Make5 күн бұрын
Electrolysis is simple, efficient and quick. Vinegar works just fine, just takes 30 times longer

It does, walls are not holding up too well unfortunately, after using it for two years (not daily of course) I gonna have to reinsulate it

Nice. I like that the video of your processes do not waste time but are damd thorough where it needs be. Easy to follow and watch. There must have been a Hell of a lot of editing and persistence to get to the stage of presenting this well honed video. A question please ? What is the holding ring (hollow, sheath like onto wood) between the handle and blade called ? I'm trying to track down this item or something I can purchase pre made and barstardise if need be. Having a name for this "thing" would be Damd helpfully. Thank you.

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I'm 26 and have spent over a decade working on electronics and firearms, but recently got into wood chopping and wanted to build an axe the "manly way" and I wanted a method without power tools. I bought a cheap $40 husky axe head and a hickory handle, I sanded the handle and oiled it and it looks amazing, but the head is dull and looks pretty rough so this is my next step.
