  Romantasy books isn´t for me really but i still like to hear your thoughts, i don´t think this vlog was boring. I kinda also like to hear about books you read that wasn´t a 5 star. Because even i read books i don´t love that i wish i did. So it feels realistic. I hope you understand

  The weather has been so challenging for running! I like a midday run but it’s been too hot and in the morning I always find that my legs are like jelly and not awake

  The Museum of Ordinary People is something that I really need to exist! I keep things for purely sentimental reasons *all* the time (I'm currently looking at a lip balm that my gran - who passed this year - gifted me 5 years ago 😅)

  I'm sorry to hear about your gran 😔 my Nan passed away in January and it's been so difficult. I still have a Waterstones gift voucher she gave me for Christmas and I've been putting off spending it because whatever I buy I know I'll associate it with her, so I want to use it on something special 💜

  If you bookmark on Kindle, you can pop up the bookmarked pages on your current page without flipping back and forth. That’s how I usually do it for glossaries or info at the start/end of a book. Or you can just click the bookmarked page and it brings you there without having to scroll to find it. Super useful ♥️

  Ahh thank you, I will look into it, I never used the bookmark feature on my old kindle because it was super glitchy so I keep forgetting to use it!

  I also was sceptical about fourth wing but it was really good I gave it 5 stars for enjoyment and I am about 20 % into Iron Flame and it's good.

  What feasts at night is the sequel in terms of characters to what moves the dead. A house with good bones is a wonderful horror story with a feel of deep south Gothic.

  *** DUST JACKET UPDATE *** Fairyloot have sent out an email to confirm there should have been reverse dust jacket art. It was sent to the publisher but not passed on to the printers, so they'll be sending out the artwork as a foiled art print instead.

  I will be honest; because of the fact that there are such beautiful less expensive options with both the US and the UK first print deluxe editions of this book, I’m a little annoyed that their solution is a print. I think the right thing to do would’ve been to send us dust jacket replacements because at the end of the day the only reason I’m keeping this FL edition is because of the illustrations if it wasn’t for the art, I would 100% sell this book and order the UK first print and save myself some money.

  Definitely agree with the gender identity rep with She Who Became the Sun. If it was a big series I'd likely not continue but with it just being a duology I think I'm going to finish it out

  They haven't said anything official yet but I've seen a bunch of comments on their instagram from people asking about the dust jacket art so it wasn't just me 🤔 I'm thinking it was either a printing error or it was never meant to have art on the inside and they got it wrong in the announcement post and on the spoiler card... The mystery continues! Will update when I know more 😅

  I loved this one tbh i really liked the setting of on a cul de sac and that really set up a good atmospgere that i was attatched to the entire book and it really dodnt feel dull to me i really enjoyed it honwstly any of his books i seem to love

  I'd say it's light on the fantasy, it's set in our world so the main fantastical elements are the characters having magical powers

  I actually really liked iron flame. I think some of the complaints were potentially related to it being more fantasy centric with less romance (although still definitely spicy). I’d also say it’s a book in 2 halves which are quite distinct

  Wait, what jacket protector do you use? Those books, the first one I have low expectations, the 2nd one was a one star read for me and I skipped it, but the most recent book I actually enjoyed enough to read the 2nd book. Its ending was so angst. 📚

  It's called archival film, my partner has a lot of hardbacks and special editions so he started buying it to keep them in good condition (I'm very grateful he takes care of mine too!) The main brand/company he buys from is brodart, they're not cheap but they're good quality so he uses their stuff for extra special editions and then he gets cheaper alternatives from Amazon to use for regular hardbacks

  oh, please do a follow up! I am in a similar position as you are. skipped May as I dnfed the book, skipped August because it's a loong series and the review put me off. have gotten the rest so far, want to get September as well but not sure if this sub is for me. I do like romance, I liked books like A Feather So Black or Acotar but I get the feeling that typical romantasy isn't for me. Like, I didn't vibe with the Plated Prisoner Series and I think that's the vibe of this sub. sad, because all I wanted was books similar to the adult sub with a little bit more romance, good tension and maybe some spice

  If I don't cancel my subscription then I will definitely do a follow-up video! I'm looking forward to July's book and I'm intrigued to see what September's will be. I've enjoyed romantasy in the past (Serpent and the Wings of Night is one of my favourite books of the year because I loved the balance between romance and fantasy) so I'm hoping we'll get more books like that in this subscription 🤞

Personally I will wait until I'm running out of skips (and see how far away from May 2025 that is) to decide whether I will or won't cancel

  I vote: r-fantasy, reading physical tbr, and dragon vlogs first. All your ideas sound awesome and I can’t wait to watch! You should read Fourth Wing it’s too amazing to miss. Iron Flame was good but nothing was going to stand up against Fourth Wing this all the disappointment.

  Six Crimson Cranes is just a gorgeous cover! The dragon isn't that important in the story, I believe it is more prominent in book two (The Dragon's Promise)! I'm doing the Throne of Glass series as a readalong and have FINALLY read book 5 after owning them all since 2019-2020!

  Somehow I've never read anything from Octavia E. Butler and I really need to fix that!! And I need to carry on with Hobb's books so badly. I've heard a few people say that An Education in Malice was disappointing, don't think I'll be picking that up 😅 I REALLY need to read more from Jemisin after I adored The City We Became! Great tag video, I hope the rest of 2024 goes well for you!
