  Yes I am because when I first started I wasn't that into guitar playing but around 3 years ago I got back into it and have only improved. I am 16 and have a lot of free time.

  I don't think you understood the video. As you get older, you have less time on your hands. As a player who is still living at home and do not have real world issues (bills, rent, etc.) you have more time to practice and progress.

  @@solacematt what do you mean this hurts the band. Of course I would expect them to at least sing the highlights of the songs. Manage their instruments properly. If not, find additions or replacements for their band.

  @@cinnah This is pretty much how they sound on record. Why would they find other people to play the instruments, they aren't a pop band, they're a rock band. What I think hurts bands in general is people thinking bands should sound just like they do on albums.

  ​@@solacematt I would definitely expect them to show some quality in a live performance. At least they should perform better than a regular band if you keep in mind the serious amount of money I am paying. And they do not sound like this in their album or original videos: - I can hear the 2 guitars easily in their records, - Singer checks the guitar while changing chords which make him miss certain parts of vocals, - Singer sometimes focus on his guitar and sing with lower quality or vica versa. Some people can sing+play like Hetfield. if you can't, don't. And I do not agree with you, this is all about the vision. Iron Maiden has synths in many songs, they include the synths in their live performances, but they do not have the player as a permanent band member. They just pay someone good. You either do not care much about the quality (which is a horrible reason), or you are being cheap. Make your pick because having an external guy accompany you during tours would not affect your internal dynamics.

  @@cinnah Keep in mind this is also a radio show with a dozen bands on a revolving stage. One band finishes, the next one starts 3 minutes later, so no true sound checks really. The band puts out albums that are meant to be performed as a 3-piece, very little extra noticeable guitar work, and when it is its usually just a melody line. You can't really compare a band like Metallica to Chevelle; they are a two guitar band who have mega money and production behind them.

  One of the best Wrong Way covers I have seen. Audio and Video could have been a little better. Though I had learned the verse arpeggiating at the top of the neck, you play it how Mark plays it. Well done.

  It's called a drum shield, they're used to bring down the volume of the drums onstage which, in this particular situation would absolutely be a good idea

  Thanks for the info! Pete is such an underrated guitarist and songwriter. Not to mention a great singer. It's pretty amazing they still perform and release albums at such a high level as far as quality goes. Not many bands that have been around this long still put out meaningful albums. The last album had so many great tracks. Can't wait for the next one. Anyway thanks again for the amp settings and hardware breakdown. Gonna use my Spark amp to try and recreate Pete's tone.

  I talked to Dan, and there is no reason Dan feels to reconcile with the band .He willl no longer tour or be part of Silverchair. Quote me on that. Trust me I wish I wish it wasn’t true. But that’s how he feels, and wants to work on his material in his own time.

  That is a sweet looking RD! Make sure you swap that battery. It could have leaked. Or it could die on you mid gig! I have a 77 RD custom. It doesn't get much play now but i do put a new 9 volt every 2 years just in case. Grats on the new old guitar lol

  Hey man I've been wanting one of those. I was wanting to also tell you. When you speak on the video verbally. It's muffled and I can't hardly hear you. But the guitar is coming in clean and loud. And I got you coming through the stereo. Can't make out what you're saying bud. Just telling you for future reference.

  When I'm testing the guitar or during the introduction section? When I'm talking during the guitar test the mic only picks up what's in the front of it. I will keep in mind though, thank you.
