Rio Nido is a blossoming beloved community under a canopy of redwoods, which houses a colorful blend of people that evoke the “west county” culture of Sonoma County.

Its residents are dedicated to the continued fruitful flow of the Russian River that it borders, and enjoy listening to live music on a lawn or at the local bars, swimming in the river or pool, having barbecues, or enjoying our canyons with your pup. Rionido.net

Rio Nido is beautiful, but if you are gay be careful, some of the people are homophobic bigots, and dangerous. My partner and I have been living in Rio Nido for years and have been constantly harassed and assaulted because we are a gay couple.
