Long-time member of the Sports Car Club of America in the US. My club started the original "Import Car Scene"..in 1944. We also started this whole thing with Muscle Cars taking the twisties, instead of a simple straight line. I've flagged, I've raced, I've autocrossed. Here is some of the stuff I've managed to collect over the years.

it's impressive that even today a few brave souls bring these priceless machines out for laps at lime rock and the glen among others and in turn make new history. thanks!
Love it, thank you
Yeah I'm not sure that I can take Lyn St. James talking about what it takes to be a good driver and race in CART. She was, and is, a complete joke that took a seat away from a driver that actually deserved it. I'd rather take racing advice from a potato than her.
Tom cruise is driver omg
The Macau Grand Prix is the Monaco, Le Mans or Indianapolis of junior Formula racing. You win there, you are something special.
By the way i was living in oconomowac and did a shake down of my 811 and Augie was coming the ither direction in his scarab

Hi, Im one of the drivers in this video and would like to have a hard copy. Any idea how I could get my hands on one? Cant figure out how to burn a DVD from here. Thank you so much.
Nice work out there
Top tier racing🎉
Man I grew up in the wrong era!!!
"as gay goes up the mountain" xd
So cool to see my old man racing in the Formula Atlantic cars here at Lime Rock.
That was my first Indy 500! I have attended 33 of them…saw 2 of Mears’ 4 victories, and all 4 of Castroneves’. Always a thrill. Always get goose bumps when I tell of the first time I heard the announcer say “and it’s green!”. This year, I was in one of the garages for a tour, and came face to face with Simon Pagenaud.
We need this guy to return
Love that era and those Chaparrals
Chris Economaki was great. Miss him doing Indy 500. When did he retire? And Jim Mckay too.
Geez what fantastic footage, my fellow countryman Bruce McLaren taking the win....i only went to Riverside once myself in 81. These days Bruce and Denny are very much remenbered(as are others in this race) certainly was the dust and the glory back then.😊
Crazy Black Datsun
Courses & drivers that no longer exist
Nissan pronounced correctly by the commentator 👏🏾
Wish Mazda was in this one.
18:40 epic poor camaro
So im 33 and ive been a tech since I was 18. Nothing in the world makes me happier than my two year old son. However this is a real close second. Cash for clunkers crushed all the automotive gold over the years. Howany of these tiny beasts were prematurely ended? Craigslist says almost all of them. Thebones thst are left no one wants to sell. A nice 87 pickup of any designatio is like 20g's 😂. My dream car is a 198+ Toyota extended cab long with a 2azfe camry swap.
Production was my favorite drive in a Lotus Elan
Can anyone tell me why this excellent documentary could not be named. It was a really good example of how things were back then. The real sportsmanship of guys on opposing teams congratulating each other. Also the totally gratuitous celebration of the female form that went on back then. My sister and I were laughing like hell at the cameramen's antics. The 60s and 70s were another world.
This is great. I also enjoy the commercials. Thank you for posting it.
11:12 UNFALL
1:26 INTRO
Drank a loooot of beer there.
That sounds dangerous lol. That really steep road that connects the turn 5 spectator area to the front of the track along the esses is scary enough to walk sober
@@QuattroZack1 We liked to sit up at turn 5. Ine day it rained and we had a fun time getting out. It's a lot nicer now, and the pits have been changed.
"We're going to do an awesome montage at the start of the picture, let's use some shitty music as sound instead of V8s thundering past."
very nice to hear these Cam Am cars wiz by. anyone else noticed the Armor All sign?
10:43
I'm in the #8 Honda Civic running wide in Turn 1 on the first lap of SSC race. It still hurts :(
my favorite Can Am
13:29 one of funniest mosport accidents ever.
Funny how old Jackie Stewart looked in 1966. And he is still alive almost 60 years later.
Legendary Jim Hall is still around in 2024
The type of political incorrectness that I miss! 😍
We used to go to the Riverside track. Get tickets for the infield. That way you could walk around and see different parts of the track. Usually we’d be between turns 6 and 7.
Wow. Love the Coupe Quattro.
If only Chaparral had better reliability...
Oh the tracks dad would talk about! I'd love to see some great footage of Moran! What the heck happened out here, all the motorsports is gone just about. Thankfully the Adams family has been holding the reigns a while now!
Thanks for posting this
Eat your heart out Carlos saints jnr
We used to be great
We used to go to Mosport all the time. Most of the year there was nothing going on, it was out in the country. Good place to learn to drink. Mid week camping weekends all the time in summer. Just hop a fence, and through the woods. It was like Disneyland for me. Around 1972 I think.
This is pretty cool. Reminded me of Fabi’s time in Indy cars. Dude could flat out drive in the open wheels, still one of the best to never win the Indy 500.
What a great series that was!
