I have seen 15000 pounds on Halliburton iron when fracking. I was blender tender.
@tcmtech751512 күн бұрын
I used to work for Tri-Can and we had a few fracc jobs where we were pushing 16 - 17K at the surface and 35+K down hole with seven - eight 2600 HP V16 fracc pumps online all maxed out at 104% engine power. The quad turbos on each pump were so hot they lit up the whole pump line at night! 🤠 The wild part was the company would yell at us techs for sitting in our trucks idling to stay warm for using too much fuel, as if that quart an hour we used out of the huge semi tanker of fuel we burned on site in less than a day really mattered. 😅

I used to test wells in Wy! I have opened up many fracs at between 15k and 35k psi! Scary as hell the first few times you do it! The company men watching your every move helped too! If they are reading this, thanks a lot you mfers for making my job just a little higher on the pucker scale than it needed to be!

Thank you for sharing this video. Can I ask a question about the test? 1) What happens if I do not comply with the GRE pipe test time? 2) Even if the pressure is tested below the pipe capacity, can an explosion occur if the appropriate test time is exceeded? 3) Is it a problem to test by injecting air instead of hydro testing?
@TheSbeeson3 ай бұрын
1) I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say GRE pipe test time. 2) Yes, piping can fail below its rated PSI. Time does not facture into our testing, only PSI. 3) Yes, that's a problem. Always test with liquids when possible. Liquid and gases create the same forces on the pipe before the failure, but the gas expansion creates more movement once the failure occurs. Hope this helps!
