Your rotor can be contaminated with grease and need to be cleaned with alcohol and a piece of steel wool If they are new maybe those pads are metalics, the type of pads with the highest braking power and the noisiest braking

Lemme put you on a longer lasting method, pop off one of the plastic covers on the shifter. Usually just need a lil Philips screwdriver to get it off. Then spray some type of cleaner in there. I use the muc off pink bike cleaner. Shift it back and forth to work it in a let sit for few minutes. Flush it all out with rubbing alcohol then let that dry or use air compressor to blow the alcohol dry and use a lubricant like tri flo and lubes up the little Paul’s and spring and whatever makes metal to metal contact and put the plastic cover back on. Will feel like new.

It's a department store schwinn your expectations are waaaay too high. And metal cranks aren't inherently good either. Old shimano Altus/acera/alivio cranks got recalled because of poor design and metallurgy. Had a tendency to snap or in my case let go of the pedal mid-ride.

haha. It never work even so smooth, although even here it was far from it. First you look for clean towel, liquid and syringe, then the brake cleaner is somewhere, then as here the hex keys constantly dropping themselves and jump out of sight and you look for it for 10 minutes because another set is in the house. Then you knock with you elbow the bottle with a mineral oil, which of course stayed open, and, swearing, you clean everything for another 10-15 minutes - and again - where the hell is a brake cleaner and new clean towels? And of course, the spilled oil was on the brake pads, because you did not place them too far away.. Or you touch them with oily hands. Or it will not be enough oil in the bottle for bleeding because it is all around, but not in the bottle. And, adding those last drops you found into the lever, last push of the syring will splash oil again. And some drops will definitely sit on the front wheel brake disk, which you even did not touch!!!! So - where the hell is this f..... brake cleaner again?! 1-2 hours of pure joy! Ask me how I know :) And the cherry - pads will squick. Does not matter whether they got oil or not - you need to realign a caliper or even break pads in again. Read, make conclusions. Be prepared! P.S. WHAT HAPPEND WITH A CHAIN?!?!??!?!

The cranks are not plastic. They are metal with a plastic cover. They did not fail because of the plastic cover. They failed because they were not torqued correctly during assembly. Honestly most of his videos are like this. I cant tell if he knows he is wrong and just does this to get engagement to tweak the algorithm.

The frame mounted front rack. None of my bikes got it. Bikes that do have it are either unattractive to me or unaffordable. But i know in my heart and brain it makes alot of sense. I know from experience that mounting heavy stuff to handlebars doesn't. Yes i got a rear rack and i load tons on that but more space would always be welcome. The perhaps most desirable bike with that feature is the Schindelhauer emil. Various e fatbikes often coined hunting ebikes also got that, but they are usually illegal over here in Europe, too fast.
