    Fat over lean rule: do you treat the acrylic under painting same as the gesso? In other words neglect it

  • @MsCoopersArtClass
    @MsCoopersArtClass2 ай бұрын

    It depends on the day and the painting. Sometimes I use the underpainting to avoid losing shadows while I paint, but I ultimately cover the underpainting up entirely. I think that letting the underpainting show through can look really cool, though! No matter what, if you're using acrylic paints that are thin, the underpainting can show through and change the mood of the painting.

    SUBBED! After 100’s of tutorial searches I’ve finally finally found one that gets right down to business without going through 15 minutes of “OmG HI guys I’ve been so BUSY lately OmGEE!” accompanied by really horrible, stress-producing music. I’ve learned everything I was hoping to learn from this video. Thanks so much. 🙏🏽

    What is difference between stipple and pointilism?

  • @MsCoopersArtClass
    @MsCoopersArtClass2 ай бұрын

    The difference to me is that stippling is more associated with drawing, especially in one color and with no layering of dots. Pointillism involves layering different colors of dots, especially with paint.

    Would love if you edit it or redo it, so that you do each type of hair from start to end. eg if we want to paint straight hair, we could see all the steps for that type of hair in one go without having to watch / forward through the other hair styles etc. This is a great tutorial. You are the only one who I have seen use white and then take it back with a bit of colour on top of it and it looks much more realistic than the style where the stark white is left onthe painting without putting a bit of extra colour.
