Sutton Roley did some amazing work on TV, especially considering the time and budget constraints of those days.👍👍

The thought just struck me, (sorry if it's been brought to the notice of LiS fans before but), the show was narrated by the voice of the robot.... Is LiS the story from the Robots view/memories, kind of like how Star Wars was the story of C3P0 and R2D2?

I used to perform magic 🪄 here in “The House of Magic” back in 1990 & 1991. I’ll never forget the day when Michael Jackson came. They closed the shop for a while so he could come inside and look around. I spend a good amount of time performing magic and talking with him. His he very nice and it was a moment I’ll never forget! I’m so happy you posted this video. I only have a could of photos and no video. This brought back some great memories.

Great memory! I miss the place. I liked the masks most, the glow skulls, and I remember the invisible dog leashes.
@mark-789 Жыл бұрын
@@richardpastore92 I can't begin to tell you how many of those invisible dog leashes were sold. They made a killing off those. I sure wish they didn't destroy all the main street shops like they did. We used to have a large penny arcade that was connected to the Magic shop. Both were removed. When I was 18, I was working one day when they cleared out the magic shop. After it was clear, the upper management brought in "Michael Jackson" to shop. They had me help him and show him magic tricks one on one. It was a day I'll never forget! : )

I recognized Mark Goddard immediately in the movie, which went on to totally disappoint me with its wokeness, as historic SciFi is by its very nature politically incorrect. It's great to hear that he has a Massachusetts accent, as I'm in New Zealand.

Went to Spooky World two times, the first time I was thinking "how busy could it be on a Sunday night" and when we got off the exit all I could see were car light and police cars the traffic was so backed up. One hour to get in, 2 hours in line for the hayride, all worth it. And the best fried dough ever.

I love the show and began to watch the series again. If I could change one thing, it would be to keep the show sci-fi serious like season one, but Irwin Allen made the decision to make it campy/silly to compete with Batman at the time. Despite my statement, I would still like Dr. Smith to be funny like the character he masterfully created. The only actor that I thought was the weak link to the show was June Lockhart. I personally didn't feel she could act and didn't have any range. When there would be serious scenes, her reactions were just terribly done. Its my opinion though.
