After a few early successes, D-Devils rose to international fame with The 6th Gate (Dance With the Devil) and Judgement Day. The band scored gold records in Belgium and Denmark, and a platinum record in Greece, where it also reached number one in the charts. In addition, the group's songs were highly popular in the Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, as well as with some radio stations in the United States. In 2014, the famous radio DJ from Belgium, Gunther D, released a cover version of The 6th Gate to cheer on the Belgian national football team during the World Cup in Brazil. His version again reached the number-one spot in the Belgian charts.
