Morgan Mouthpiece Company
Morgan Mouthpiece Company
After retiring as Chief Woodwind Technician from Selmer in 1980, Ralph Morgan's mission was to bring back the lost art and science of hand-crafted, chart-designed, pure rubber saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces. For over 35 years, the Morgan Company has hand-crafted saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces which are designed by some of the most experienced and skilled mouthpiece technicians in the World. We make mouthpieces the "old fashioned way". Our rubber formula is the same formula used by companies in the 1940s/1950s. All of our chamber work, baffle work, facing, and polishing is done by hand...the way it was done in the 1940s/1950s. See our website at www.morganmouthpieces.com for more information.

It's an incredible mouthpiece! Love playing it, the best imo for the Desmond sweet lyrical sound

The craftsmanship is unmatched. My Morgan mouthpieces are still exquisite - forty years later. I had to watch to see how and why. My conversations with Ralph Morgan were very patient, informative and memorable.
damn bro look at you fly
Hey Erik, sounding good on the Maxcalibur....sort of a "focussed-but-resonant" quality to your tone. Kudos to you and your colleagues at Morgan! 👍🎷🎶
Thanks so much!
Very nice Erik I see(or hear!)where you’re going with it sound wise.I’d be interested to hear how it sounds at higher volumes….My ideal tenor sound is Stan Getz on his West Coast Jazz album.Regards.
Just what I like, a sexy man playing a sax in the afternoon
Just curious . . . Trying to re-shine some of my old mouthpieces . . . What kind of polishing compound was he using and what do you call that “strap” he used to polish the piece?
Sounds cool indeed. What tip opening are you using here?
I have the TLS-1. Incredible mouthpiece on my Martin Committee III.
Lovely Rich sound at the bottom end-real 30’s/40’s vibe….
Sounds superb!

Must changed my mind buying one of those after listening this music
What a crappy music to demonstrate an expensive mouthpiece
dont hate on the music its just not your style exploring different sounds it what creates a talented musician
This is beautiful. What Reed did you use?
Thanks! It was a D'Addario Select Jazz 3S filed, I believe.
Erinnert mich sehr an Zoot Sims! 👍
Hope to try one of these soon, just got my conn bari back and looking at options. Any dealers in NYC?
Sounds great, Erik!
I use berglarsen with .120 tip opening. so if i want to order this model, do you have tip size that same as that?
Nice!!
Nice like it .
Can I get free shipping from USA to sweden if I order one or is it both customtaxes and shippingcosts?
Joe Hen/ Sonny Rollins! Great sound!! What opening and reed. I live in the EU. Where can I buy one?
Regards,Erik-just received my GM 6 bari mpce from you.Only got a couple of blows so far and still sorting reeds.Having said that,no issues, plays easily and just fine tuning.I definitely sound a bit more like Gerry in the middle and upper register which is great. Now to get his warmth at the bottom-I suppose practice would help!I know you're a big Desmond and Mulligan fan as I am-you sound like Paul playing a bari..Teresa did a great job on the shipping here to Ireland, many thanks and best wishes.
Thanks for sharing. Let us know if we can assist with anything else! Enjoy!
Great video. I have a Morgan 3C on my alto, and I'm crazy about it. Definitely my favorite piece.
