I feel like the sudden ease of getting permission to save your ears is nefarious at best. I believe its a means of creating a gun registry and the ATF finally realized that all they have to do is make their extortion fee and turn around time streamlined and they will get that registry they have always wanted. And the timing being an election year that could potentially upend our way of life is suspect as well.
...The machine creeps ever forward, one totalitarian tiptoe at a time. I'm willing to bet that a pretty large number of others share your suspicion.
For the longest time crossbows were outlawed in my state claimed it was a silent assassination weapon.

Man that's apples and oranges! It depends on which would serve you more immediately...UNLESS this is not a necessity purchase. In that case, it would come down to which do you want more, pistol or rifle. Good news is, you have great taste and both purchases will make you happy. I personally have both!

If you add a suppressor to say a 10.5” barrel but you make it non removable like inside the hand guard, it’s it still an sbr?

The biggest problem with suppressors isn't availability or the headache getting one it's the laughable price that they sell for. They are extremely low tech basic mufflers. To just be real about it. It's not exotic medals, it's not difficult to machine, it is dead simple. People have literally made them with freeze plugs and flashlights and they work fine. It's the price point on a suppressor that is hilarious. And the only reason they stay in business is the extreme legal consequences when it comes to just saying fuck it and making your own which is very easy to do.

I own 7 and I never had one come back in less than a year. I bought them over the course of several years, probably 2015 through 2022. Glad to hear they are getting things fixed. Because I hope to never have to rebuy a silencer for the same caliber again I try and aim for the high tech stuff, stellite and inconel. They aren't as light as titanium but they are SERIOUSLY durable.
If it was just forms i'd have multiple suppressors. Im not going to pay an extra $200 to an agency i dont think should exist, on top of the sales tax i pay to the government.
I bought 2 suppressors in May and still waiting for my stamps...it's getting frustrating is a understatement...
Or use an adjustable gas block for DI guns. I have a piston AR that has an adjustable gas block that cycles great suppressed with out slamming the bolt back.

These videos are LIES, you influencers all been saying this for the past 3-5 months. I finally gave in to buy my first suppressor because of this. My buddies in different states all decided as well because I spread y’all lies believing it was true. Well all of us are now 3+ months and still nothing. Wish I could go back in time and never do it, not because the money just the point that I gave in bc I figured I would drop my pride if I was able to get approvals in a few weeks. I now believe all the comments saying they got theirs fast is bots. 🤖

Man, I totally understand you about being apprehensive & a bit nervous. Knowing there are guys out there who run & gun & could out perform ya at any given moment. For me, working on those insecurities & pushing through them no matter how ya feel, going against any feeling telling you not to go out there; man I personally can I apply that in any scenario in the real world. If I just go against what my nervousness & insecurities tell me, I just go out there & do it. Whether it's run & gun or it's going to see what my insurance rate will be monthly based on my crappy driving record hahaha. Good job bro!
