Here at The Board Meeting I make videos that cover a wide array of topics across the board gaming hobby. I make how to plays, reviews and ratings, a few unboxings here and there, rankings, and top 10s. Have fun everyone, and just keep gaming.

Going all in on both 😅
I also really enjoy Unmatched Tales to Amaze, so Unmatched Adventures; TMNT! sounds fun. The box cover does say that Shredder and Krang will have minions so I'm assuming that the minions will work the same way.
TMNT! Let's go!
easy pass on united hate those chibi figures and not interested in unmatched either
I will get DC United when it comes to retail
I've been waiting for a good TMNT game! This might be it!
My modest $100 pledge has quickly grown to $489... so far. 💰💰
@@jmkoeller 😬😬 Is that the all in?
@@TheBoardMeeting That's everything so far, but they keep adding expansions and/or accessories every day!
My wife and i love this game. We have alot of the content. We always play 2 heroes each. We have over 100 plays of it. So much variety and replayability
I am a nerd. I do sometimes wonder what would happen if Medusa battled against T-Rex, or if Beowulf went up against Achilles, or what if Bruce Lee went head-to-head against Luke Cage. Oh wait....
55 yr old nerd. Just about everybody loves a game of some sort. Im fortunate enough to still be able to enjoy a good game of cribbage with my father. Embrace your passion.
Man this hits close to home for me.. up until very recently I hadn’t realised I was actually calling my hobby “nerdy” when talking about board games or RPG and almost giving it a negative connotation myself. I’ve stopped the bad habit now and being more proud of it when I tell people and the response has been incredible. Let’s be more proud of our hobby and ditch the labels, cos actually this is cool, and many people outside the hobby think so too 😎
I think the meaning of nerd has changed over the years. It definitely has a different connotation than it did 30-40 years ago. I nerd out over soccer and paramotoring.
❌Won’t buy any new board games for one month (not good enough) 🟢 won’t buy any new board games until I play my shelf of shame games (better idea) At the end of the day it’s your life so it ultimately falls on you to figure this out however.. “Not buying board games for one month is not enough
Nope. Ark Nova is not as deep in resource management and resource production. So Terraforming mars is still No. 1 in that category. But I do admit Ark Nova has overpreformed in many categories fro sure!

I'm quite shocked you didn't put "Legacy of Yu" on your list (or you don't know it?) Its from Shem Philips and is an awesome 1-player-only game! :-)
@@Hurlibutz I don't think I had a chance to play through it yet when I made this list. It would've at least been close to making the list if I redid it today.
Yes, J and K are very limited. I had about the same lists. Only caveats were games that I haven't played yet. So, I don't even have 5 for each of mine. 3. Jaws 2. Just One 1. Joan of Arc: Orléans Draw & Write 4. Kingdom Builder 3. Keydom's Dragons 2. Kemet 1. King of Tokyo
My top 5 J-K are: 5. Kerala 4. King of Tokyo 3. Kanagawa 2. Jamaica 1. Keyflower

What a bsv
The fact that you've played Pandemic: The Cure 30 or so times and only beat it 3 or 4 times tells me it's a good game. You rarely win, but you have so much fun playing that you don't mind losing basically everytime. I'll have to grab it!
Illusion is the only "I" game in my collection, so I guess that's my favorite 😁
I use Illusions in my elementary math class about comparing percentages.
Great list! Illusion is such a unique game. I've had it for awhile and everyone I've shown it to, really likes it too.
Have you ever played It's a Wonderful Kingdom?
@@donnakeferlis1649 yes, I backed the all in kickstarter for it but I didn't like it.

Less Heroes and Monsters in this version compared to the predecessors, indeed.
This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of stuff. Do not bring over all to your new house. No need to display empty boxes. If it was me that would easily be tossed away or there’s a group i think that is solely for selling board game boxes. Probably worth to check out. Get some $$ out of it towards a purchase of a new game and just get rid of clutter. Then you don’t have to worry about packing everything and transporting stuff that’s going to cost you extra when it doesn’t really serve purpose.
Watch @thebrothersmurph they recently moved their studio, which meant moving all their games. They did a great job. Good luck.
Good luck with the move! It must be very stressful. You will be fine! Don’t feel about not posting for a while, we get it.
I owed over 2k games, twice. Here's the thing. I sold 90% of it all. Felt like a million bucks. Don't need or want all that cardboard. I know you are a content creator but owning all thise games weighted heavily on me. When i sold it I felt very light on my feet. That hoard has a life of its own and it has to be feed, housed..etc. however, if you choose to keep ot then know that it's going to be work. I'd consolidate boxes, first. Then either get a huge uhaul (otherwise you're going to make several trips) and start loading it up. Have the selves waiting for you in the new place. And, well lots of elbow grease. Don't stop too much since, at least for me I lose momentum.
I need to do the same. What did you find was the best way to sell? A box at a time on the geek or auction seems very time consuming.
Just finished moving this past weekend. My collection is a little over 1100 games. What worked pretty well for me was I boxed up a shelf at a time. I then moved the empty shelf and those boxes. I put the shelf up at the new home and replaced the games. I then reused the boxes and did it all over again. I found that packing games Tetris style doesn’t help. For the few extra games you squeeze in , you are just stuck finding places for them when you unpack. So basically if its not from the shelf you are moving don’t pack it. Save it for the shelf it came from. It was not fun but I kept it manageable that way. And I even found some games I’ve forgotten about 😂
From my own personal experience. I experimented a bit with different psychoaactive substances and some of them gave me more than just a 'high', it was rather like heavenly choir of archangels. As for alkohol, well, in my country drinking is (or was) part of everyday life so, well, I used to enjoy it a lot. Not to the point of overuse or dependence but still. And as an avid TTRPG solo player I can attest that certain game mechanics combined with certain type of personality can produce very peculiar kind of flow, or 'entering the Zone' as some say, that gives excitement, elation and bliss uncomparable to any other worldly pleasure, be it narcotics, sex or other common sources of joy. Letting oneself lose into a game, while not completely free of its own dangers, can hijack these parts of brain that perpetuate other sometimes less healthy habits. Thx for sharing, take care.
Yay!! 🖤👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
My top comfort games: Cribbage, Azul, A Getle Rain, Impact/Strike, and Project L
I just bought Puerto Rico today... Was 5 euro for a second hand copy (unpunched)... so happy I did now 👌🏻
When I first played this franchise I spent time trying to figure out how they would mix and match. And personally I would have done something with movable tokens for the monsters. So the icons are tied to any of the monsters and its instead part of set up (and could maybe be changed with a specific monster card even) and then have specific monster cards added for the ones you are fighting. They might be opposed to that with how simple they want it to be, but I am a fan of the specific call out cards and the deck changing
Love Puerto Rico! It's what got me into modern board games. I don't have the newer version. It didn't need a new edition IMO, and I'm Puerto Rican.
I was hyped for this, and if it mixes with Greek then I'm even more excited!
Of the current 100, I’ve played 35. Of those I haven’t played, there are really only 5 that I actively want to seek out and play. BGG’s average tastes seem like they don’t often align with mine. To each their own.
Why do you like Wingspan more than Wyrmspan?
It's faster, I like the theme more. I don't really like that in Wyrmspan players can have several more actions in a round than others players. More downtime between turns. I still liked Wyrmspan but got rid of that because I'd just rather play Wingspan.
I would never imagine trying to play the top 100. Lol mostly because im a solo player, $$ *which you mentioned, and complexity *which you mentioned. I've learned to be happy with my preferences that aren't well liked. The joy of finding someone who likes one of your favorites vs finding some one who loves only the popular games doesn't compare. Just looked, ive only played 7 physical board games in the top 100. A few more *maybe 7 more on BGA.
I've played 36. Mid 60s is pretty amazing.
Hopefully, we'll get updated versions of the old monsters for mixing.
Played 32 games on the BGG 100. They don't typically resonate with my gaming group.
