Gratitude and work. When you became Christian were you at a church, b study or Crusade/Festival? Be honest. Tell everyone what you did that day or did b4 & up until that day you did an altar call? 👍

The evil comes from people who refuse to relinquish or surrender to discipline their natural "base weaknesses." Thats where evil originates from. Human wealnesses all so evidently revealed in the Bible, and by the Buddha. But people have taken a these teachings and built religions around them. Not even taking the time to search the texts to discern for themselves. Instead they practice life caught up in rituals and traditions of their respective societies. Totaly misrepresenting the Wisdom they have been given. The Bible is the "revelation of the human condition and its interaction with the world at large." It is all their, good actions, bad actions. The evidence of human weaknesses, and the promise and hope of strength to overcome those weaknesses. The "discernments" gained of the Bible, the Four Noble Truths, Eightfold Paths, ALL summed up in the teachings of YESHUA combined should ultimately create strong disciplined minds. BUT ONLY DIRECT YOUR PRAYERS TO YEHOVAH THE SUPREME UNIVERSAL ORIGIN OF ALL LIFE. SAVE YOURSEL, SAVE OTHERS, SAVE THE EARTH TOO. FROM UNDISCIPLINED SELFISH WEAK PEOPLE AND THEIR DESTRUCTIVE ACTIONS AGAINST ORIGINAL CREATED NATURE.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:30 😇 Jesus divided mankind into saints who know they're sinners and sinners who think they're saints, highlighting the complexity of human nature. 02:47 🤔 Philosopher Gabriel Marcel distinguishes between problems and mysteries, indicating that some questions, like those related to human behavior and choice, are inherently mysterious and not easily resolved. 05:00 🆓 Human beings have free will to choose between obedience and disobedience, resulting in joy or misery, respectively. 07:55 🤯 The fundamental mystery lies within the concept of the self, the "I," which cannot be objectified or analyzed like external objects. 14:01 🧠 Psychology and sociology deal with subjective human experiences that cannot be fully objectified, requiring a different kind of intuitive knowing. 20:15 🧐 Ancient wisdom provides valuable insights into the human condition, complementing modern scientific knowledge. 22:27 🤯 Philosopher Gabriel Marcel suggests that the study of sanctity is a profound avenue to understand metaphysics and ontology, as it represents a pursuit of understanding human existence in its most perfect form. 25:45 🩺 Many non-Christian psychologists view human nature as normal and do not recognize the concept of fallenness, contrasting with the Christian perspective that considers human nature as inherently diseased. 26:47 📚 In "The Lord of the Rings," characters like Faramir are subtly changed in modern adaptations, reflecting a shift towards more conflicted and cynical characters, which contrasts the original heroic ideals. 27:49 ✝️ Hollywood's understanding of heroism differs from the Christian perspective. Christianity sees Jesus Christ as the perfect hero who reveals both God and humanity. 28:22 🤔 Christian psychology differs significantly from non-Christian psychology, as it measures and judges human behavior in relation to Jesus Christ, creating a substantial gap between the two approaches. 30:45 🌳 To understand human beings, it is essential to understand saints and perfection, just as you understand acorns in light of oak trees and babies in light of human beings. 32:23 🙏 According to Jesus, the meaning of life is to pursue sanctity and perfection, not merely trying harder but becoming perfect as God is perfect, which is a profound challenge. 34:02 🧐 Even atheists, like Albert Camus, were haunted by the concept of sanctity, suggesting that the pursuit of holiness is deeply ingrained in human consciousness. 36:27 🤔 Sanctity is about becoming like God and completely surrendering to His will, going beyond mere spirituality or virtue. It's a binding relationship with the absolute. 41:43 💬 Sanctity is distinct from spirituality. Spirituality often implies personal improvement, while sanctity is about total surrender and submission to God's will. 45:11 🦸‍♂️ Sanctity goes beyond virtue; it involves becoming a hero who goes beyond the call of duty and finds joy in selflessness and identification with God. 52:29 🌍 Saints play a crucial role in saving civilization, and everyone is called to become a saint. The survival of the world may depend on individuals taking up this universal call to sanctity. 53:11 🌟 Saints can be found in various religions, not limited to Christianity. The grace of God, mediated through Jesus Christ, can touch lives anonymously in different faiths, leading to sanctity. 55:58 🙏 The concept of Jesus as the one savior for all is at the core of traditional Christianity. This belief allows for a hopeful view of sanctity and salvation for non-Christians. 56:34 💡 To understand Christ, we can learn from those who know Him best, the saints. Saints are those who know Christ profoundly, making them valuable guides for Christian psychology. 59:31 📚 Writing about heaven is challenging, as it's a subject that can't be fully comprehended. Exploring this topic, even with limited knowledge, can still be valuable and provide insights. 01:00:55 🌆 Sanctity in a broader culture can be achieved by individuals who embody Christ's teachings. Even those who don't want Jesus can be touched by His grace if they allow it. 01:04:47 🌟 Motivation to become a saint starts with recognizing the beauty, attractiveness, and necessity of sanctity. Conviction in its power is the first step. 01:08:47 🌈 Different people have different obstacles to sanctity, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Overcoming these obstacles depends on individual circumstances and needs. 01:12:19 💖 Jesus' two great commandments to love God and love your neighbor are intensely practical. They provide a clear roadmap for living a saintly life. 01:14:36 🙏 A saint is someone who has experienced the goodness of God, which transforms them and leads to a different kind of goodness, even in the face of challenges. 01:18:05 🔍 Self-introspection is necessary to prevent self-deception, especially when we think we're living a holy life. It's crucial to remain self-critical and honest. 01:19:04 🌟 Love for God can be found in various religions, and it's a matter of degree. While different faiths have varying understandings of God, none fully comprehend the divine. 01:19:36 🕊️ Muslims and Christians may have different levels of knowledge about God, but individuals from either faith can invest deeply in their relationship with God. It's erroneous to claim that they worship different Gods, as both traditions trace their understanding of God back to the same roots. 01:20:10 📚 The Quran contains elements of good theology, even though it may also contain some bad theology. Perversions often distort something originally good, and it's possible to find valuable insights even in unlikely sources. 01:21:27 🙏 Saint Augustine, particularly through his work "The Confessions," is a source of inspiration and personal identification for Dr. Kreeft. However, if considering which saint he'd most like to emulate, it would be Jesus' mother, Mary. Made with HARPA AI

I have found that true humility in it's purest form is not necessarily a human choice but is built within the personality as a result of constant submission to Jesus Christ every single day. "It's no longer I that live, but Christ....."

So many of us think of suffering and why to me, why to my child, why to my loved ones. Many think we deserved it. Suffering never helped me in considering and believing in a punishing God for my sins. No I believe in the 'healing' in that grace and the wonder that is to come. Thank you to that person who showed his/her spirit to us in Auschwitz. Eleonore is a lovely speaker.

Wow! Robert George has such a simplistic and misguided understanding of Peter Singer! He must have read the headlines, heard the slurs but not read the text. Singer is a great moral reformer, in the tradition of Bentham. It seems that George either hasn't understood Singer or has misunderstood him. Singer's views aren't evil, they are enlightened.
