This was filmed between 7:30 and 8:30am, roughly.

Is there air conditioning in the hallway and elevator? Read one review there was none true or false?
I am 90% certain that there was no AC in the elevator or room hallways. I remember sweating when going up to the room.

What if the power goes out and you get stuck in the elevator? I’ve been to Aruba before I know they frequently have power outages.

I would hope they have a procedure for this. Luckily, we didn’t experience this on our stay.
How was the availability of palapas?
They go fast. Very fast.

Nice video! I have been to Cabo over 25 times since the 80s. Never have I climbed Mt. Solmar. We plan to visit again next year and for sure I will do the hike. Thanks again!

Is there a Pullman? Does this sleep 4?
There is no Pullman bed in this cabin. We slept 4, with 2 of them being children aged 7 and 6. One child slept on the sofa sleeper and one with us.
It looks lovely but we were there 2 years ago. The buffet restaurant was very good. The staff lovely The island is fabulous. The climate perfect. However the rooms are badly outdated. The race for the best beach chairs starts before dawn with people scurrying to claim beds . Another annoying thing is people get a second lot of beds by the pool to use when they leave the beach. On more than one occasion we saw people almost come to blows about it. We paid close to 12K for this holiday. It wasn’t worth that price point
The beach chairs go incredibly fast. We, too, saw people with beach and pool chairs reserved. It is a holiday that will cost quite a bit. Your complaints are valid. Lovely island, great weather, amazing beaches but the resort leaves a little to be desired. We enjoyed ourselves but for the cost, we would not return either.
Hi. We’re sailing on the Celebration in June and have a Family Harbor oceanview room. Does the sofa convert into a bed?
It did not pull out to a bed. The cushions come off and it can sleep one. Great question.

Great question. We found the food to be pretty good compared to the average all-inclusive Caribbean resort. Nothing amazing but still very good. The sit down restaurants were definitely better than the buffet restaurants.
Hello, can you tell me is the RIU ANtillas or Palace has a customer business center where we can use a computer and printer?
I believe that Antillas had the business center. The resorts are connected and the services are shared so either way you can use the center and the walk is not terrible between the resorts.

The construction next door was non-impactful. Other than when on the beach, where it is in view, it was forgotten. They didn’t work late or super early. No complaints from anyone we knew. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!

The pools were not cold. They were very comfortable. We definitely recommend the hotel and Aruba. Aruba was very safe and we never felt that it was unsafe. Thanks for watching!

Great question. We did not have to make reservations and none of the restaurants were difficult to get into. The steakhouse seemed to only serve a small amount of guests at once. That one, while it didn’t look busy, was the toughest to get in. We went near opening time and had no issues. Thanks for the question and for watching!
@KandJTravel I am doing Carty on luggage when going to Aruba. Do you have any information about leaving aruba , being I am not checking my bag. What is procedure I heard you should be at airport 3 hours early. Thank you.
@@michaelirvin2079 we did arrive at the airport about 3 and a half hours before our flight. Aruba performs the US customs procedures at their airport. This means you will go through Aruba’s exiting customs and US inbound customs at the Aruba airport. This will make your security experience take longer. However, when you arrive in the US, you will not have to go through customs.
Did you stay in Riu Antillas or Riu Aruba?
We stayed at the RIU Palace Aruba.
Did you film your own drone footage? If so, did you have any issues or restrictions using your drone in Aruba?
Yes, I filmed the drone footage myself and had no issues. The one thing to keep in mind is that Aruba is almost always windy. 20mph winds are the norm. No restriction issues. I did obtain permission from the DCAA prior to arriving in Aruba. You can fill out a request online to gain permission.

Hey just curious on if the bar times online are true. they claim to have two bars open till 1am is this true?
I don’t recall if I was at any of the bars after midnight but I know I was at them very close to that. They did have 2 open “around” midnight. Thanks for watching
Just curious, what transportation service did you use from the hotel?
Good question. We booked with Costco and that came with free transfer to and from the airport. I don’t remember the company they use but it was very easy and painless. Thanks for watching!
Is the beach swimmable
Great question. No this beach is not considered safe to swim. No one would do anything more than put their feet in the water.
Are the restaurant reservations done by phone or by an app? Can you book for the entire stay or it's done on a daily basis? Thanks!
Reservations are done via a staff member in person. On day 1 or 2, you must find this person and try to get reservations. The reservations are a challenge and what we liked least about the resort.
What time of day was your filming on the beach?
The walking on the beach was filmed fairly early morning. Around 8am-ish. Thanks for watching!
Is there an indoor supervised kids club for children's activities where kids can be dropped off? If yes is it included in all inclusive?
Great question. The kids club is technically outdoors but has sheltered areas. It is supervised and is quite large. Our kids had a great time there.
How long ago did you go? Is the beach nice or small? I saw another video that said the beach was washed away.
We were there in March of 2023. The beach was washed away in mid 2022 but was rebuilt with fresh sand after that. We were at the resort next door when the beach was washed away and they did a great job rebuilding the beach when we came back to this resort.

Thanks for the question. The beach seating seemed to go faster than the pool seating. The resort has staff that will attempt to help find seating on the beach but if you get down there late in the morning then the good spots will likely be gone (good spots means the seats with shade). The pool seating didn’t fill up quite as fast. Again, the seats with shade go first. I would say 8am or so, the shaded beach spots start to go. Maybe 9:30am or so, the pool shaded spots start to become sparse. Thanks for watching!! Enjoy your vacation!!

How does tipping work at this resort? Do you pay all of the tips upfront like on a cruise? Or tip as you eat/drink? Are the water slides and kids pool area only for if you pay for their childcare? Or is that part of the all inclusive? Do you have to have a reservation for the buffet? Or just for the specialty restaurants? This is our first trip to an all inclusive resort and only have Royal Caribbean cruise line to compare it to. Any tips or information is appreciated!
Great questions! Tipping is not required as they mention gratuities are part of the cost. However, many guests tip when receiving good service. We spent a lot log time on the beach and tipped the 2 bartenders there each day. There are pool servers that will bring you drinks and many people tip them. We tipped as we went where we felt it was merited. It’s really what you feel is best. Water slides and kids pool are part of the all-inclusive. No reservation needed for buffet. Just walk in. If you want to done at specialty restaurants, book your reservation as soon as you can because they fill up quickly. Enjoy your trip! Thanks for watching!
Can you access all SOLARIS hotels if you stay in one of the properties
Yes you can. There are 3 properties all close to each other. GR Caribe and Royal Solaris are next door. A few properties down the road is GR Solaris.

Does this room sleep 4?
We slept 2 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 7). It has a king bed (or 2 twin beds if you split it apart) plus a Pullman bed that pulls down from ceiling. The Pullman bed slept 1 and one of our children slept with us. Not the most comfortable for 4 but we made it work.
Do they have any freestyle machines on board?
