Everyone has their attention on the 992.2 GTS that was just unveiled but it's cars like these that interst me more. 991.1 is a sweet spot with the naturally aspirated engines. Turbo charged is nice and all but this one is enough for a Sunday drive

I have the 991.1. The NA sound in sport plus is amazing. I had a budget and stuck to it since I paid cash. I have not been disappointed...

In my eyes the 992 GT3 Touring is best Porsche because it looks for non car people like a regular 911 while also offering near the performance of regular GT3. I drove it once with the PDK, 918 styled seats and standard brakes. I always dreamed about driving it but it was way better than I could ever imagine. I dream of it as my daily driver as I don’t care about comfort and practicality and for me it was actually quite comfortable. I have perfect size for the 918 seats and I like its vertical position but I might be the minority. But I must say I only drove this and a 991.1 but the owner of the GT3 has two more Porsche he will let me drive, when I‘m old enough for its insurance (25 is required and I just turned 24)… a 991 GT2 RS and a 918 Spyder. (We met during a Vacation as we stayed in the same hotel and I spoke with him about his GT3 and his cars a lot. Since then we are friends) And shoutout to your Afghanistan project! It might be little for western standard but it will hopefully change many lives in your native land

+1. .. Agreed, your speaking to the choir. ..However in the garage is the '98 Carrera S (993) I'd order in June of '97. .. Passed on the 4S 4wd sticking with the lighter rear 2wd C2S 3.8l. .. Then checked all the options, well very many. .. Whole hog, as the saying goes. .. Man, I love the look and ride of the 17"x9 Cup II alloys. .. 99% stock w/ a little HiFi technology help ( fully active/DSP w/ ATC UK drivers) .. All stealth, of course. .. As always much appreciate the video production efforts! .. Subscribed. .. Entertaining narration, you know Porsche 911s (993) Goes to the grave with me .... Cheers, Vail, Colorado

Watching this confirmed for me that of all the 718 variants available, the 718 Cayman GTS 2.5 is the way to go. As sonorous and wonderful as the 4.0 is, you can't beat the 2.5 for its incredible torque and efficiency, not to mention the APR tunes that allow the engine to contend with the mighty GT4. Win-win! And I think the 2.5 GTS sounds incredible.

Just picked up a 2002 Carrera. It’s a lot more car than anticipated before actually trying one! 911s have always been the best sports car of their day. The 991 GT3 & 997 Turbo S may be peaks but even the lowly 996 is a world class ride!

@@mrenigma6274 the design is a large part of it, but it's also no longer viewed in isolation. When compared with the 964/993 and 997/991 it's at the bottom of the rung. However those are some of the all-time greatest cars so it's in good company.

I disagree. The 991.1 is a bloated pig, uderpowered in every trim. The 991.2 GTS is barely good enough, but lacks all excitement and passion. Forget this nonsense. Ferrari is where it's at .

My Lisboa, Portugal, friend allowed me to test drive his 2006 997 Carrera 4S. I could not get over how quickly we reached 90mph (144kph) from a standstill. I just stepped on the gas and didn't "floor it." I have a greater appreciation for people who desire to purchase this vehicle. Just my 1967 Mustang, no room in the back seat for adults, only kids

Spot on mate. 2007 C2S 6 speed checking in with just over 100,000 mi and running like a top. Personally I like to keep it under 3,000 RPM until temperature is up to 200° f before romping on it to help minimize scoring issues. Otherwise the car is an absolute gem to drive for all the reasons listed. After the 997, the 911 platform really does start to get too big. The 997 gives you enough modern amenities that it's a comfortable car while still maintaining the raw purpose of a 911 sports car. My 2007 is specked with the 19 in Carrera Sport wheels, Bose, Sport Chrono, Sport steering wheel, etc along with a full exhaust and intake system upgrade. This is a forever car for me so I will slowly keep tinkering away and upgrading bits as I go making it a bit of a subtle sleeper. Cheers.
