Aaah such memories Cranwell my first operational station in 71 onwards, I worked in the college for a time during HM KINGS Charles training days and then onto RAF Wunstorft which was Luftwaffe when I worked there whilst rebuilding on runway at Gutersloh was being relaid for the Crusader 80 exercise. Even back then wunstorft was the allied end of the Berlin Air Bridge . Pub quiz stuff: did you know that Lawrence of Arabia was stationed at Cranwell, serving as Aircraftsman Shaw when he died ? 50+ years ago when I was there they had a first edition of his book the 7 Pillars of Wisdom
Does night time temp go comfortable? Sth aust, we've a cold snap here. I'm in milder area but Canberra goes below zero and about ten degrees lower than Adelaide. I like to work for the warmth. 😂❤🎉

Avid, you should watch the whole video of the incident before you condemn Manchester police. The man was NOT handcuffed and was still struggling. He had already punched one copper to the ground and broken the nose of a female officer. The coppers thought he was trying to get the gun of the officer he was wrestling with, so the officer used extreme force. Should he have scraped his boot beside his head? (He didn't actually kick him in the head), NO! But don't take out your anger on someone who was under extreme pressure before you see the whole video and know all the facts.

Just noticed the dog paw prints 🐾 on that loop shaped water shower, obviously was showering the sand off your four legged friends & the second one is probably a font for then to get a drink after running around in the baking sun. A very dog friendly beach, I think dogs are banned from many beaches here in Scotland now, which is a bit of a shame, but too many irresponsible owners letting large poorly trained, and uncontrollable, dangerous breeds run wild off the lead - too many people being attacked & savaged here by unruly, vicious dogs. Especially when there are little kids running around, it’s just too dangerous! The same old story, a handful of idiots, ruining things for other people sadly. 😏

Good morning Graham & Fiona, we have similar bins with one only a few yards from my house, the heavy duty cast iron bins are cemented into the pavement, they have moulded on lids, but four whopping great rectangular cut outs on each side, which are emptied by nature numerous times a day, both by cyclonic winds & scavenging seagulls & crows! I have to go out & sweep all around the perimeter of my garden which is on the corner of my street every few days, as it resembles a council tip with all sorts of rubbish & doggie poop bags 🤢 decorating the pavement! (That coupled with lazy irresponsible dog owners letting their dogs relieve themselves of things resembling the size of railway couplings, & not picking it up - filthy gits!😤🤬) It didn’t occur to the designers to install some sort of flap system to keep the contents encased! Sorry for the rant, just spent another hour plus of my Saturday being an unpaid street sweeper!😩 Sorry for the rant, but it really drives me to distraction!😱🤦♀️ I feel better for that ‘Victor Meldrew’ style tirade!🤭😆😂😂

My first permanent posting after basic and trade training was to RAF HULLAVINGTON, Wiltshire. It was a Parachute Packing Staion(No aircraft) in my whole nine year service, I never flew in an aircraft.
Everyone in the RAF should have the opportunity to go flying.

Cash is printed freedom!!! We should never loose it. I use cash much more these days.
A cashless society will give governments a huge way to monitor and control us!! Also, what about the people that can't get credit cards now because of their credit scores or lack of income or debit cards because they don't or can't have a bank account. I'm sure there's many more reasons I'm not mentioning.
