Only problem with this drill is amateur golfers will bring the club up too steep. I find that I lose my bearings and can’t keep the club on plane when I get rid of the initial takeaway in my backswing. For a pro that has hit 20 million golf balls a day for 20 years this probably won’t be as much of an issue.

This should be a BASIC drill for beginners I've never seen it taught (!) * I see teachers blabbing to befuddled beginners with a bunch of jargon about angle of attack, hip firing, wrist setting, rotation vortex percentage (OK, I made that up, but you get the idea) ; ) Keep It Simple Stupid

Played 9 holes yesterday with this SWING (Not as a drill, as my swing) Almost-perfect contact. Dead straight. Solid. I almost feel like I'm cheating. I've used it in years past I think I'm just gonna stick with it, forever

I have never been able to follow through for some reason. I have always been told to get the left shoulder high, but after swinging in the yard I can completely follow through now. Cant wait to try this on the golf course!! Thanks Sir Nick

I was at the Oxfordshire between 1995 and 1999. The competition was always played in mid/late May - but it was ALWAYS so cold and windy. A very hard way to make your money playing in conditions like that.

This is such a great tip for most golfers. Your right shoulder wont actually be higher then your left because your right hand is lower on the club but getting that feeling that you are trying to keep it high will get you into a perfect impact position. Great thought.

I've been playing entirely with a pre-set wrist for over 6 months. I have tried to do a regular swing again, but it doesn't work as good as the preset wrist method.

@@scottsanders2641 My big thing is that I play amazing with it but when i go back to a regular swing its too hard to replicate. I understand the preset is basically teaching you to cock the wrists up and down but I just must be doing too much during my regular swing.
