    Honestly, i liked it. I dont really care for the in depth review when judging a show, bc any silly plothole can be brought forward and used to bludgeon a work. The fallout show was funny too me, I thought its setting was an interesting take on the west coast wasteland, and as a longtime fan i loved how the show canonized an old fan theory. Of course it had its failings, it definitely felt like a deeply bethesda era fallout work, but i still like and recommend the show.

    Lucy getting a finger that isnt hers attached to her is nothing compared to the medical BS that happens to the MCs of the games. Lets not forget that in OWB you get your brain, heart, and spine taken out of your body and you walk around like it is nothing afterwards. In point lookout you have like a golf ball sized chunk of your brain removed while you are passed out in the middle of a swamp. Like come on now there is so much nitpicking in this it gets a bit ridiculous. It is science FICTION, with a heavy emphases on fiction. You peal back the curtains enough on any science fiction you will start to find things that don't make sense. There are sometimes you have to go "you know what, I guess that is just how it works in this world".

    The brains in the Big MT were the smartest immoral people in the old world with 200 years to tinker, the whole DLC is consistent with that level of technology and twisted aesthetic. The show has a standard Mr Handy capable of welding rotting meat to a living body with no side effects but still has a meat grinder prosthetic leg, the show is inconsistent with its own rules and what it's trying to be, so it loses tension because any magical thing can just happen to forward the plot. My big criticism of the finger, which I stated in my video, is that the big shocker moment of a finger removal was completely negated before it could matter. I can't say "you know what, I guess that is just how it works in this world", because "how it works" keeps changing. Haven't played the point lookout DLC in over a decade, maybe you're right, don't remember.

    Wow, 1:31 and you already completely misframed an event. The Ghouls contract with vault tech wasn't hurting his career. It was hurting his social circles. Not because "they were hated by the communists" the communist party/sympathizers are blatantly referred to as a negative (even maldover cringes at the idea of being labeled one). The vault tech contract was viewed as a negative by his peers because it made him look like a sellout. This show is far from perfect, but it helps when you pay attention.

  • @masterficus

    I said it hurt his career because his coworkers (those in his social circle) refused to work with him and the movie shoot had to get cancelled/rescheduled. That affects his career, hurts his career. I didn't misframe the event, I focused on the work aspect as apposed to the social aspect, though I will give you that I should've mentioned both.

    If you nuke a few places. The other places will have high demand. For bunkers and vault's. There is literally a sign at shady sands that indicate thr NCR has moved their capital. Cold fusion lady contracts raiders indicating she is acting on her own. Also transporting a dog is different from housing a dog. Also also many dogs are walked around the facility. They are raising dogs at rhe facility. Meanwhile cold fusion lady wouldn't have a party to pick up the scientist cause theu didnt expect him to go on the.move.. once again you assume the cold fusion lady is on good terms with the main NCR . Yeah the vault raid was kinda sloppy but the rest of the criticism are based on conclusions you made that wasnt presented in the story

  • @masterficus
    @masterficus7 күн бұрын

    The world is on the verge of atomic war, deploying a few nukes will trigger a response and everyone will launch nukes. There is no more demand because it's already too late, even a lot of people that paid to get into vaults beforehand couldn't get there in time, and once everyone has paid up what's the point? Money is worthless because the whole world got wiped, there's nothing for vault tek to spend it on. This is the most bizarre argument I've heard in defense of the show, if you have to reach this far to defend it this could be a sign that you need to reevaluate if the show is actually good or not, and why you're choosing to defend it. The sign says first capital, FNV (set in 2282) says current capital, the sign COULD mean the capital got moved just before it got nuked but that's not certain. Also it barely matters, Shady Sands WAS the capital and the heart of the NCR, deep in NCR territory. In the show the only NCR presence we see are the raiders in the vault and remnants at the observatory farm. The NCR had many cities surrounding Shady Sands, we see no rebuilding efforts, no peacekeeping forces, no trade lanes, nothing. Shady Sands, (maybe prior)Capital, the origin of the NCR, got nuked and NCR presence vanished. People in the wasteland refer to cold fusion lady as the leader of the group, the only people identifying as NCR are following her, she even has a blood cult worshiping her, if she is "acting on her own" it's because there's no other NCR presence, so she's "acting on her own" because she's leading the only remaining NCR presence. They are raising dogs at the facility, so someone housing a dog is worth starting a fight and triggering an alarm? If you can transport dogs but not house them how come none of the guards thought it was weird that this scientist brought a dog to his room and didn't come back out with it? Or left his room with his dog after an alarm was triggered? An alarm that was set off in his room. Cold fusion lady didn't know scientist was on the move? So it was pure insane coincidence that she raided the vault for the overseers cold fusion password at the same time of his movement? At about the same time that the scientist bounty got posted? IF your argument is true, which I don't believe for those stated reasons, then your solution just made more problems.

  • @tornicade
    @tornicade7 күн бұрын

    @@masterficus so the plan would be to try to create a scenario where the follow up nukes don't happen. The rest of what you said doesn't eliminate anything. Cold fusion lady can know that the scientist will have cold fusion plans and not know when. They could of had an arranged time and the discovery led to a deviation of that. We also don't know where the location of the enclave science station was only that he ran into Lucy on his way. Also it is unlikely someone is gonna put a sign up after a place has been nuked. It states that the population of shady sands is 30 k and corner capital. It is reasonable to conclude the sign was placed prior to the nuking that killed the land. The fall of shady sands could also indicate that a battle was lost. If you make up definitive parameters that are unknown in presentation then you have changed the equation .

    I think you're right, the snipers and shotguns do more damage but the other rifles trade damage for fire rate, to the point that at least the revolver I used a lot did more damage per shot. The police do have some rad armored carriers, but the main gun on the tank takes training to use and a dedicated guy for it. Also I had no idea some police departments had access to M113 Bradleys, that's very cool and a little unnerving.
