Cassowaries will NOT "peck you to death". They ARE a wild animal. They will defend their young. They will react to being/feeling cornered or hemmed in. Leave them ALONE and they will do likewise. By the way they don't peck ....they kick !

Just to set the record straight! My husband and I owned the loch sport IGA from 2002-2017. We started the carnival back in 2002 and fireworks display. This was paid for by our supermarket and Gary powers real estate entirely. The council came on board with funding approx 2008. Who pays now, I have no idea, but it’s not just the food works!
