  • @alabamadirtrider
    @alabamadirtrider15 күн бұрын

    Where in the West? I moved here from the West coast too. The places I ride on this channel don't require a tag, you could bring a dual sport to do the double track, though. Lots of places to ride down here, it's just different terrain and mud than out West.

    I'd recommend throwing a guard on the hose between the power valve cover and the hose on the left side. Bypassing the thermostat helps so that it's not so rigid, but in even a little tip over the radiator can flex and pinch your hose to the engine. Happened to me at least!

    What type of straps are you using for the wheels? I zoomed in and watched 10 times, i can't figure out how you're strapping wheels??Lol

  • @alabamadirtrider
    @alabamadirtrider3 ай бұрын

    They're just cheap 1" wide ratchet straps, that small kind, not very long either. I hook the two hooks against each other, wrap the strap around the wheel (through the spokes) a few times, then feed the strap through the ratcheting mechanism and ratchet them down tight. Some claim it's not needed but it made me feel safer. Note that I've since stopped using this carrier as I bought an enclosed trailer. Also, per another comment, I apparently had the anti-rotation bracket on backwards.

    I road mtb on Monte Sano for a few years, and this reminds me of when I started. These trails are like the ones in Land Trust. It takes time to see your line before you get there such that you can keep your momentum up when you go through. I rode a dirt bike for the first time at Highlands Park Resort this weekend and it was definitely a workout even though I didn't ride technical trails like these.

  • @alabamadirtrider
    @alabamadirtrider4 ай бұрын

    They didn't have the 200RR at the demo, only the Race Edition. The main notable difference between the two is the KYB suspension on the Race bikes. They're better compared to the Sachs on the RR. Both can be tuned of course, but I think everyone will agree the KYB is better. So if you have the cash, I would get the Race just for the better suspension.
