I'm going to try to repost the comment I made in reply to yours under your subsequent video to this one on IR filters for phone cameras in hopes that it isn't 'dennabwodahs' here as well. "I'm just using the emitters for deep UV flashlights that I use to excite fluorescent minerals like willemite and the terlingua type calcite. I have a Yingfeng emitter, which as of a few months ago anyway was the highest power UVC LED available, and the ZWB3 cleans its emission of visible light nicely (not totally of course, but mostly). A ZWB2 will get you similar results for your purposes with even better visible blocking ability, but will admit somewhat less IR and almost no UVC. If you search for that specific part number you will find a post on another site I did with some traces of the emission spectra both filtered and unfiltered. If you search for the phrase "modified phone sterilizer emitting 280nm light" you can see some additional traces of ZWB3 filtered light from one of those Homedics phone sterilizers that became popular during early 91-DIVOC. It is the lowest expense source of pure UVC light I was ever able to find, and though not bright, is useful for philately and mineral shortwave fluorescence detection."

One may easily find one's self under the impression that this site's management is doing everything it can to simply destroy its user base and drive any and all intelligent content and its attendant commentary as far away as possible in favor of ever more base clickchasing trash. No more direct messaging either, so if your comment is memory-holed you're just s.o.l. Perfect setup, youtube.

You are absolutely right! As I am responding in the "held for review" section! Its really become almost comical how KZread is shutting down my content in recent years its become puzzle solving a clue gathering at this point to respond to intelligent comments! My content in particular I know has peeved them because it is purposefully designed not to be click-baity and cartoony/animated - its the real McCoy as they say. I'm not just showing cartoons of atoms and lasers, I give my audience the real thing and I thank my long time supporters such as yourself. I'm not going anywhere yet but once things quiet down professional life wise I will be moving a lot of my focus to fairly local science community here in Ireland for outreach which was really all this channel was about - citizen science education.

You may wish to try a simple ZWB3 instead for around a fifth the cost and much less visible light contamination. We like them for using with deep ultraviolet AlN UVC LEDs to notch out the chip autofluorescence in the visible so as to give a purer light for illuminating fluorescent minerals. It will admit less IR overall in the longer wavelengths beyond around a micron, but so little of that is actually detected by the cmos of a phone camera anyway it doesn't really matter.

This is great inside information thank you! Are you using these filters for microscopy or NDVI? I have used ZWB2, the famous UV flashlight filters, along with QB19 shown here as well as BG3 and QB4 filters, along with several from Kolari Vision (with my hot-mirror filter removed drone camera). I must upload a video next of the ZWB2 to compare with the phone camera used here.

Attosecond Laser-Induced Aneutronic Fusion Power propulsion Nuclear fusion occurs in massive stars with extreme temperatures and densities. These conditions can be briefly created on Earth by concentrating attosecond (1e-18) laser pulses on crystalline Lithium Hydride (LiH) at the bottom of the rocket. The resulting plasma contains lithium, helium ions, protons, and electrons. Pulsed alternating electric fields shape the charged particles and use magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) to directly generate electricity and provide thrust. MHD efficiency is more than 80%, compared with 40% for conventional energy conversion. A 1-attosecond pulse will penetrate 1 layer of atoms in that time, but the thermal (phonon) energy will only reach the next layer 20 femtoseconds later. The short pulse minimizes the heating and melting of the underlying material. Incorporating a cavity structure into the target material traps and slows the plasma dispersion and allows for longer interaction times, potentially leading to increased fusion reaction rates. Additionally, the cavity can reduce mass ablation, improve laser absorption, and facilitate better mixing and compression of the fuel material during the implosion phase, thus contributing to more efficient and effective fusion reactions. Cavity produced with additive manufacturing (AM) techniques minimizes variability and allows for the creation of complex structures. Alternating pulses of electric fields can be used to expel/attract negative particles or attract/expel positive particles at critical times during and after each laser pulse. The positive particles are effectively stationary when compared with the speed of the electrons in these time scales. The heavier positive particles, absorb more laser energy and contribute to increased fusion rates when their stay is prolonged. Expelling electrons from the plasma stabilizes the plasma, reduces losses due to electron recombination, and reduces the effect of Debye shielding. At an intensity of 1e-21 W/cm2, the first layer will receive most of the 1.2 MeV of energy per atom, equivalent to a temperature of 2.4 billion kelvin and velocity of 2.7e6 m/s for the heavier ions. The velocity of the electrons will be much faster due to their smaller mass. Nuclear Fusion reactions of Lithium and Hydrogen Proton + Lithium-7 = Beryllium-8 (4.42 MeV) = 2 alpha (18.16 MeV); total 22.58 MeV Proton + Lithium-6 = alpha + Helium-3 (4.27 MeV) Proton + Helium-3 = alpha (18.8 MeV) Helium-3 + Lithium-6 = 2 alpha + Proton (16.88 Mev) Helium-3 + Helium-3 = alpha + 2 Protons (12.859 MeV) Lithium Hydride must not be exposed to water. Fusion reactions have to be undertaken inside a vacuum. The laser repetition rate controls the output power level, ranging from zero to megahertz. Such a system can be adapted for Earth by converting the charged particles directly to electricity with MHD. The exhausted charged particles can heat molten salt, storing the energy for hydrogen production, synthetic fuel production, seawater desalination, district heating or cooling, powering ships equipped with thermoacoustic Stirling generators, and power plants with supercritical carbon dioxide turbines. With such abundant energy, a trip to the moon would take only 4 hours with an acceleration of 1 G. Similarly, a journey to Mars would require just 5 days, eliminating the need to wait for Earth-Mars alignment. A trip to Saturn will require 10 days. Back to the Future: Fusion Energy from Garbage Any solid waste material with a density lower than nickel can be used as fuel. These materials can be mixed with binding agents and compressed into fuel rods. Materials that produce charged particles are preferred. The lower the density, the better. Avoid using materials that can produce gamma rays, neutrons, or radioactive isotopes. Most thermonuclear weapons use lithium hydride (LiH) instead of pure hydrogen for fuel. LiH offers two advantages over pure hydrogen. Firstly, LiH is solid at room temperature, allowing easier storage without extreme pressure or cooling. Secondly, during the explosion, lithium atoms undergo nuclear fission, producing tritium (hydrogen-3), which enhances the fusion reaction. Lithium Hydride has a high Heat of Fusion of 2900 joules/gram, low thermal diffusivity of 1.2mm2/s, high melting point of 688oC, a molecular weight of 7.95 grams/mole, density of 0.757 grams/cm2, specific heat capacity of 6.27 j/g.k, and good electrical conductivity.

At 11:24 there is an image that shows Higgs Boson, which has been found, and the supersymmetry, etc. I watched a talk from last year where there are two opinions on physics right now. One is there is no such thing as extra dimensions, and String Theory is only good for selling books and making sci-fi movies. Then you have the otherside who believes the opposite. I can't believe our top physicists act like children bickering over these things instead of working together. It's ridiculous and I can see why no one wants to get a physics PhD. Look at the people you have to work with!
