  You have to remember this house was built in the 1920s I’ve been to houses that were built in the 1920s and all of the kitchens were always in the back away from two rooms that’s just the way they designed them

This style of apartment is more English country and traditional style. Not really “grand millennial” Sorry but people complaining about this apartment are usually those who can’t afford taste and are probably happy with Ikea displays or whatever minimalist Japandi midcentury style is trending. There’s a reason why her interior designer is on the AD 100 list and not a KZreadr.

  Delightful. My friend's grandmother was one of those original artists that settled in Carmel. I remember the 1st time I drove there by myself about 1974. We were still teens. Grandmother was gone and my friends elderly Auntie lived there. I had to find a house called "Indian Bowl". It was onthe last street next to the ocean. Spectacular.

  If we are talking about value for money, it is hard to beat Ryan's place. If you want space, townhouse is the way to go in New York, but at $10 mil it is just unbelievable only because of its location being in Brooklyn. But, townhouse is not me, for NYC, I am more of a loft or penthouse type guy. If is Brooklyn, there are actually some really nice newer builds in Brooklyn Heights. Saw this duplex penthouse with a roof garden, I think is around 3,190 sq ft with the absolutely best view in NYC, no joke! You have floor to ceiling double-height glazing looking at the best and most iconic New York skyline which has to be the Financial District across the East River. Plus there is a huge park directly downstairs which is great if you have dogs. Asking just over $7 mil. But, if I have to choose between the 3, I think I would take Dave's and redo the interior. The house has good bones, great location with a great view. The current decor is a bit cheesy for my taste, so like I said I would just redo it.

  He might have been but he probably didn't care. When you have that much money, and you like something, some things won't be a bother. Not everyone is all about thinking ahead for the future, investments, etc. Some people simply live for the movement. Aesthetically, I liked his house better and would choose it.
