    I honestly hate smelters. Having the fuel, ore and output all on different sides has ALWAYS been an annoyance. I would like to add a little tip of my own, related to base defense: build your walls (or raise the earth) high enough to hide you from enemy line of sight while you're at home. Enemies won't agro on you or your buildings if they don't have line of sight on you...with the exceptions of raids, of course. I like to build a nice high outer stone wall so I can make my buildings as nice as you like and still have peace from wandering mobs. Best of all, when mobs from other biomes wander in, they'll kill each other, leaving your lawn littered with free loot!

  • @Leviku7
    @Leviku716 күн бұрын

    Yeah i agree about the smelters, tbh it's a cool idea/design but in practice it isn't very practical... AND thank you for the tip! I will keep that in mind if i ever do another tips and tricks video!

    Hardly ultimate. All you did was give an overview of their stats and rank them based on how diverse the damage distribution was. No context for when you are able to get each weapon and how effective they are against the mobs in that biome or how well the moveset works with the stamina cost.

    Probably worth noting that the best weapon for ticks is the iron sledge. The slam attack gets them off your body and sends them flying. Saves a tonne of stamina trying to roll them off you.

    I have over 1000 hours in this game but never considered having a place for emptying my inventory on the spot. I do however have my traveling portal right next to my storage system which is very practical.

    When it comes to having portal materials, make sure to have built a “dummy portal” at your base to connect to. The best way to take advantage of it is to portal everything that can be, and have your metals fill all the inventory of the ship you came in and yourself without encumbering. (in case of serpent defense) This way you’ll have to make less resource runs

    Mostly agree, but my recommendation would be to save metals for weapons, shields and tools. Use Troll armor all the way to swamp, where u swap chest, then head for the Wood armor. And use poison resist potions until u have the Wood headgear. Tip: Lead the Abomination to Surtling spawners (flame) and use Axe on it, if you dare fight close. Bronze armor doesn't stop much damage, so dodge and block attacks instead of face tanking. Learning to avoid damage, and using shield is a MUCH better investment than the massive resource sink of making the bronze set.

  • @Leviku7
    @Leviku719 күн бұрын

    Thank you! I appreciate your opinion and i will keep that in my mind! Also, i did not think about leading Abonimations into flames, thanks for that as well!

    Pas mal 😁 c'est Stagbreaker pas Stagebreaker, stag c'est un cerf, peut-être une ref au premier boss (qui doit être TRÈS facile avec une arme late game) - je débute tout juste, je vais faire mes premiers donjons aujourd'hui dans la forêt noire et je me fais brutaliser par... les Greybeard brutes hahaha

    @@Leviku7 Complètement! J'ai failli mourir pas mal de fois dans les donjons, et ma baraque s'est faite éclater par un troll, et plus tard dans la journée j'ai tué un autre troll assez facilement, juste du kite avec des flèches enflammées :-) et j'ai vidé les deux donjons que j'ai trouvés haha, en apprenant à mettre des bonnes parades aux squelettes etc! Et j'ai refait quelques fois Eikhtyr juste pour le fun, clairement ça devient de + en + facile avec le temps (et le skill héhé) 😀

    Hey man nice vid, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut i have some remarks, tips, advice, questions and stuff. 1st its a stag-breaker not a stage-breaker ;) its comes from the word stag, that is the male deer. (thats why you need all the trophies) And silver weapons should do spirit damage to "undead" type of enemies. Like in folklore that werewolves have a weakness to silver. Maybe there is some more logical weapon effecs that could be explained by lore and myths. But for the rest i would have liked to see what type of weapon is best used for what kind of enemie. And then best per biome. Like what you did with the clubs, but then for all enemies. i would like to see a bit more detail, like fighing the same kind of enemy with different kinds of weapons to show the difference in damage done. For example, im walking in the black forest and i get attacked by greydwars, what do i use! ok bad example, maybe for Mountain then. Wolves are fast, but with what do you kill them? Atgeir has range but on a hill its useless, mace would be nice because your special has range and knockback. But does it do enough dmg? Then there are Fenrings at night and stonegolems that require a different weapon. (can even use a pickaxe on stonegolems) For mountain its a lot of swapping around, so whats the best per biome? i think its worth investigating. Keep up the good work!

  • @Leviku7

    Wow! Big thanks, I really appreciate this comment! Yeah i messed up with the Stagbreaker sorry haha, but I didin’t know about the lore/logical explanation behind it! Thanks for letting me know. And for all the specific stuff thanks for mentioning it, I did not really think about that while making the video but it would’ve been a really cool addition! Everything that you mentioned could be the material for new video ideas I’m really grateful for all that information and good criticism, thanks again people like you are motivating to have around when starting out on KZread!

    Weapon Damage by biome: Mods show the biomes on servers to be set at 1 for the weapon of that biome. meadows 1 standard weapons Blackforest 1.2 for damage standard swings used in meadows. swamp 1.4 to 1.5 with added effect of posion used in meadows. Mountians 1.7 damage with spirit damage in the meadows. What isn't added is attacking mobs cuts the weapons power down and also each biome requires player to be at a certian level to function without dying. Best to check the valheim wiki on damage mechanics

    Early game Abyssal razor is amazing. Late game you will discover that some knives have weird hitbox issues, especially Blackmetal Knife vs Deathsquitos is very tricky, while Abyssal works just fine... Same for spears; their hitboxes are weird, and you may have trouble hitting a spawner on the ground. Another early game super weapon is Stagbreaker. Very good in dungeons and crypts, and to find buried treasures.
