As an old Yondan, I’m 61 years old now, I can state that this is very traditional Kihon training. Very similar if not identical to how I trained under Sumida Sensei back in the 70s and into the late 80s. Most modern day dojo’s don’t truly understand the amount of sweat, suffering, pain and yes, even tears it requires to achieve this level of technical accomplishment. I am forever great full to whoever uploaded this because it demonstrates the amount of “proper “ dedication it takes to reach such high level of Budo karate.

@@OichibanShotokan It's definitely not the one in the video. Karate, real karate, was composed of joint locks, throws and strikes on vital points (kyusho jutsu). Where are these techniques? You can't see them in the video. Maybe Mr. Naka doesn't know them. He doesn't know what they are. And he teaches him karate. Wrong karate. You Japanese must stop selling as yours what is not yours. Each of you created your own karate to try to make people believe it is the best. But then it all comes down to the same techniques, and even the same kata. A one and only sports "karate". But all with the same name SHOTOKAN. This only proves one thing, that you don't know karate, but you tell the world that you are masters. Masters of an art that is not yours, that never has been. And the only thing you've managed to do is turn a martial art into an obscene show to entertain the public. Well done. You Japanese should study the history of karate. And honor this martial art. And do not sell it as a commodity on market stalls.

@@OichibanShotokan Better wake up , legends are brainwashing. Without fighting is fitness, ballet .... if you can not use in a real life situation is nothing. So , real karate is about killing , so you can not do it is the society unless you have licence to kill, army , police , special forces.

❤️ 55:10 their front kicks so strong and you can hear the whip from their pants. Their standing leg so solid. I want to do this drill to make front kick stronger. Also their feet so flat and strong from years of practice. Amazing!

1:13 Guy in right, he is black belt and cant even keep his heel down, when is he going to learn. Thats really a beginners mistake. I understand if he has some structural issue that he cant put his heal down (but it doesnt look like he has one) but oh man that looks bad. You can ever be a good fighter if you dont keep you heels down most of the time. When doing 100% speed attack then it totally different thing but heels doen or you balance is gone, your speed is gone etc. Those other guys arounf should just hint to keep your heel down bro, they taught you that when you were a white belt. In karate Achi dachi one of the few stances when your heel is up (front foot heel in this case). I dont know any stance where your back foot heel would be down (later you can see that it is not s structural/stiffness issue) he just hasnt understood the basics of karate stances, movements. I think he thinks you should push with your back leg when going forward and that why his heel is up. The right way to go fast forward it let the gravity do the job for the first feet and the back feet wil follow.

Some do not keep their closed fists in the correct position. But they should do that as a Dan carrier. A black belt doesn't mean perfection, but there are simple things you should learn to get there. but everything fits nicely and very instructive
