Very well put, Dobromir. I'm a Citizen Developer (by your definition) as I come from a finance background, but my quest to develop web-based calculators for my target audience led me down this path to finally find Frontly. As for professional developers, I believe they would still find benefit in No-code tools as they can use it as a way to test MVP ideas before going full on to build out the viable product.
Hey Tony, yep, I fully agree. My background is also in finance, and no-code has given me so much additional freedom to automate and build, but at the same time, AI is getting so good at writing code, I want to see where it goes in the next year 😊 And seeing how fast a tool like Frontly is evolving, it really gets me excited for the future and what non-programmers like us will be able to build 🤖
This is a super helpful course that explains in so many details how to build your model even if you have no experience in such models. It is extremely useful for both finance professionals and non-professionals.
Thanks Eliana, glad you like it! 🤠
Awesome! 👏
Thanks 😊
Thank you for the video. I tried and succeeded a few times, but Googledocs results cut the text in the middle and move on to the next chart, where should I fix it?
Hey there, if results cut off, you probably have to increase the context length on the Open AI nodes, I think I left it at 300 by default, but if it's cutting off, that's probably it :)
Always on the lookout and excited for your Frontly videos 😊
Hey Tony, glad you like them! 😀
Thought I was the only one 😂
Amazing 🎉thanks
Welcome 😊
This was really amazing! Spent 4 hours end-to-end. Subbed, and big thanks!!
Hey, that's great! Thanks for the sub and thanks for letting me know you found the video useful, it really means a lot! 😀
You are a G for this.
To be honest, I've had to rewrite the REGEX like a 100 times, and it still missed some emails and names... so I'm trying with ChatGPT now, but it still misses some names... it's become a very frustrating project 😅
@@MintyAnalyst thanks for the ipdate
Really miss more of your Frontly videos… they really make the Frontly community a great place
Hey, thanks for the comment. I love making those, but they take way more time than my other videos, so it's hard to keep them coming while managing a full-time job 😅 I have an idea for the next one, but no sure when I'll get the time 📺
@@MintyAnalyst completely understandable ..Thanks for all your knowledge
Sir a quick, how often you use SQL in your tasks, I'm thinking to strat it learn, would appreciate any tutorial on that 😅
Hey Arslan, to be honest, I've only had to use it once in a project where we were implementing QlikSense in a company I worked at. But it was only basic commands. I'm not really that knowledgeable about it, since I haven't had to use it at my work yet... maybe I should learn it too 😅
@@MintyAnalyst Got It 😀
Highly recommend to every finance guy.
Thanks Arslan, that means a lot! 😊
Thank you
You're welcome, I hope you like the course 😊
Thanks man
Thanks, Pablo! Glad you liked it 😊
Amazing.
Glad you think so! 😊
Something bothers me about the type folio. I've never had the urge to rip a page out of my notebook and feed it into a typewriter and it feels so much like a loss of focus to me. The past 8 months, most of the updates had a strong focus on typing rather than writing and it feels like 2 rather incompatible mediums. Maybe it's just me. It's made me want to consider other e-Ink devices.
I see what you mean. reMarkable haven't been adding a lot of features to writing for a long time. I think they will polish the typing experience a bit more (hence the more features being released initially) and stop at some point. Like it or not, that's their whole idea - stripped down features for less distraction. I guess it's up to how everyone thinks about it. For me, however, the type folio is the best keyboard case for a tablet I have ever tried (haven't tried the new iPad one, but that's another thing completely). I really bought it on a whim and had no idea how much I'd end up writing on it. What alternative are you considering?
@@MintyAnalyst out of interest, how much of your time would you say is typing vs writing? Is this on separate notebooks or in the same one? - I can’t figure out in my mind how to logically incorporate both but everyone is different I suppose. I’m considering the upcoming SuperNote 5X2 - higher resolution 300ppi screen, much nicer looking writing quality, way faster, PDFs are very snappy (it takes like 10 seconds sometimes for the RM2 to load the next page in a PDF), magnetic sleep/wake, backlight, support for 3rd party pens with buttons, ability to link from 1 page to another in the same or even between note books, ability to access your highlights and tags in 1 place, ability to edit notes from another device, actual cloud sync, great reading experience, full text search, better battery, etc. While still maintaining that distraction free writing experience and near identical form factor.
I have 2 completely separate use cases - I write daily tasks and notes and brainstorm with the pen; I type my weekly newsletters on the folio. The two almost never cross. However, typing distraction free brought my newsletter writing down from 4-5 hours to 2-3, which is a huge win for me timewise :) I haven't looked at the SuperNote 5X2, will research it a bit more, you listed some intriguing functions.
@@MintyAnalyst your use case makes a ton of sense, thank you :)
Great stuff. I learned a lot even though I've had Frontly for some time now. Very inspirational and representative of what is possible when you play with building an app that relates to your specific needs.
Hey Les, thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it!😊 I completely agree, nothing better than automating and digitalizing small things we do every day!🧑💻
Can we use it for youtube shorts ?
Haven't tried it, as I don't post shorts, but as far as I know, shorts are still videos and will show up in the RSS feed. However, this approach is now a bit irrelevant, because Make.com just released an official KZread integration, where you can listen for new videos without any RSS feeds.
@@MintyAnalyst can you make a video on that because i tried the youtube module and it did not work properly?
I'll think about it and whether I can come up with some interesting use case. The module itself has very limited functionality, so not sure if I can come up with an entire video only about it 😅
@@MintyAnalyst thanks man
@@MintyAnalystso yeah man youtube module is working great and it even supports shorts
Awesome! 🎉
Thanks! 😄
Hello sir, by any chance can you make a tutorial on how to forecast cost of sales based on real world scenario, I mean say, we must have received projected inventory data sheet form our planning team that should be based on our Cost of sales etc Here in this video we just understood how we can forecast based on revenue and historical moving average. Appreciate on this request if possible with you.
Hey Arslan, thank you for the comment. Usually, we either have the Cost of sales calculated for each product, or we take an average % of revenue (historical % of CoS). We can also aim to get at a specific Gross Margin %, and calculate Cost of sales from there. I honestly don't know what I would include in such a tutorial. Let me know what you'd like to see in it, and I can think about it. Thanks! 😊
@@MintyAnalyst Thats make sens to me as well 🙂 Thanks for great content
The wizard 🪄 is back !!!😎
Unfortunately, I never got my Hogwarts letter😅 Anyway, thanks for the positive comment, means a lot!!😊
Thanks for this clarity mate... much appreciated. Please I'm waiting eagerly on your Frontly AI Request Action tutorial. 🙏🏿
Hey Tony, thanks for the comment. I honestly haven't played around with the AI actions. What kind of tutorial do you have in mind?
@@MintyAnalyst I would really like to know how to build out a workflow with it (a chain of AI Request Actions) where the response from one AI Action serves as input for the next AI Action Request etc. And one more thing, do you have an idea how to replicate the 'join table' functionality of GlideApp in frontly i.e. a two-way/multi-direcrional relationships between two tables/sheets? Thanks again mate.
Hey, I believe you can reference previous AI request actions similar to all other actions like this {{actionSteps.1.response}}, where 1 is the number of the action in your flow. As for linking two tables, you can have a parent_id (or something similar) in one table that is set to the frontly_id of records in the other table, and then you can create this link from the Data Sources page, the last button: Edit Relational Data. Here are the sources: help.frontly.ai/en/articles/8685629-openai-request-action help.frontly.ai/en/articles/8022597-using-relational-data
@@MintyAnalyst You're the best. Thanks
You're amazing! 😍
Hey, thank you so much!! 😊
That's a very cool tutorial, except that you don't explain some details like how to connect Airtable with OAuth... But thanks !
Hey, thanks for the comment, glad you liked it! I didn't explain the connections as I think most people watching already have them and didn't want to make the video too long, but you are right, when it's a beginner tutorial, maybe I should :)
@@MintyAnalyst Yeah I tried very hard to make the same thing as you, but failed unfortunately :/
Where was the problem, what did you struggle with?
@@MintyAnalyst I struggle with Make…
@@antzvirtual Have you tried any of the other platforms? I tried Zapier first and really couldn't get the workflow. Then tried Make and it all clicked. Maybe you can test some other platforms 😊
Hello Sir, I just noticed your courses are no longer available on Udemy but as I enrolled into few of them so I can still access, thats really good for me,. But by the way are you shifting to a new platform?
Hi Arslan, I took down one of my courses, the one for financial modeling, as I decided that I wanted to publish it here on KZread so more people can learn. You can check out the playlist here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZmF-o9SCZbaWiaQ.html
@@MintyAnalyst Alright 👍👍👍
If we dont have cancel date then how should we calculate??? Please gelp.
I don't think there is an easy way to follow this approach if you don't have a cancel date. You must find a way to at least estimate how long each customer stayed with you, otherwise there's no way to analyze retention, because you don't really know what your retention is.
Great learning 👍
Thank you 🤗
Excellent example explained in a very lucid way. You may want to completely stop the background music which is very disturbing. Overall great stuff.
Thanks for the positive comment :) Yes, I now know the background music was too much, but sadly there's no way to remove it. However, I no longer blast music like that in my newer videos :D
Sifu guru you are a beast
Hah, thanks I guess 😅

Frontly master 👋🏻❤️
Hey, thanks for the kind words, but I am by far not a master 😅 The real gurus are on Fronlty's Discord server, where some real wizardry is being shared. I just like to play around with the platform and share anything I think others might find useful 🧑💻
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
My pleasure, I'm glad it's useful 😊
Hey Minty! I love this one even more 😊
Yay! Thank you! With the pace Frontly are pushing new features, it will be outdated in a few weeks, but still a good starting point 😅
Thank you wizard 🪄 minty 🧙♂️
Hey, happy you liked it :)
GPT Chat does not work. It requires a paid plan in order to use Open AI. Can it not be replaced with a free platform?
Hey, thanks for the comment. I am not aware of any free platform that can do this with the required quality, that's why I am using the OpenAI integration in Make. If you find another one that integrates with Make, let me know, I'd like to try it out 😊
@@MintyAnalyst And in the end we get an article written by humans? Or will the article be detected as written by artificial intelligence? I hope you've checked it out
@@MintyAnalyst Will the text after here look like it was written by humans when examined with tools that detect writing with artificial intelligence?
@IbrahemAb1 If you take it as is and use my generic prompts, it will be easily detected. However, if you research better prompts for your specific use case, and spend some time editing it at the end, results are pretty great. It also depends on which model you use from OpenAI (gpt4 will be better but more expensive than chat-gpt3.5). After all, it's the same performance you get from ChatGPT, just allowing for longer text with a structure.
@@MintyAnalyst Thank you, I wish there was a free site through which we could produce an article with human writing, because all the tools that reformulate the article into a human form change the words in a suspicious manner and put in strange and inconsistent words and meanings.
Eres un crack, de mayor quiero ser como tú. Could u make an harpaai vídeo
Sorry, I am not familiar with the platform 😊
Hi Minty! You never disappoint. I don't mind a paid frontly tutorial from you. I would really love to make the best use of it. It sure does look like it can replace having a website.
Hey Tony, thanks for the comment, it means a lot 😊 I was thinking about recording a whole course but decided it's too early to do that: 1) There's still a lot I don't know about the platform; and 2) they keep adding new features and changing things so often, even some of my tutorials are already outdated, so no point in recording a longer thing right now 😅
@@MintyAnalyst very true...on the new features. 😆 Take your time mate.
wow you are frontly master
Hey, thanks for the high praise, but I'm really not 😅 I just love the platform and building things for fun in it 😀
Yeah, he might just be 🧛
@@2MRSTARZ Hey, thanks for the positive comment, it means a lot 😊
I don't get the point of this video - what is the advantage conferred by Camera here? I use Excel's Camera function extensively but how is this different from copying an area of the sheet and just pasting as an image? The point of Camera is its dynamic updates, which are totally lost outside Excel.
The point is to set up your image once (size, range included, etc.) and then easily copy-paste it whenever data changes. For example, I have a monthly report in PowerPoint that includes 20-25 tables in it. I have the images for these tables set in an Excel file, and whenever I update the data and calculations, I only need to copy-paste the updated images, and they fit perfectly.
Thanks for the great video!! I really enjoy the Frontly platform!
Glad you liked it! Frontly has certainly become my favorite no-code builder over the past few months :) And the potential is so huge, I can't wait to see where the Frontly team takes it :)
