I’m watching your boys right now. Seattle were just in town here in LA. I splurged and got VIP season seat. Sitting on field. I watch or listen to every MLR game a week. This NE vs Seattle kind of games gives me boners. Love these huge matchups. After the Houston away game this was a wake up call. All these games are tight. They travelled far as well. NE still best team in league.

Season seat holder with RFCLA. I’m heading to San Diego for away trip this weekend. Can’t wait to see my boys at Snap Dragon. Shocked NO are #1 so far. Not shocked Old Glory got win at Veterans. Parity is good.

Just watched the show. Question about discipline. What is role of the captain at the crunch time in getting players to focus ?

Phil and DD. I missed the show live but just watched it. The one thing I thought could have been called on the final play was a double movement by the ball carrier just before the final grounding as he tried to get to the line. Would have been a stolen win but could have been called none the less Watch the play again.

Oh please no overtime. Draws are part of rugby history, and by the way it happens not very often. There are systems in place for play-offs, 10 minute halfs extra time and then penalty kicks. Check out the game between Munster vs Toulouse for reference. It's really not that hard to comprehend.

My top 5 cultural differences (1) Referees - In Rugby they are called ‘Sir’ No one is allowed to yell or show disrespect. Compare that to American sports. (2) Respect to opponents. After the game players share a drink with other team. I worked for Giltinis and saw Free Jacks players drinking and celebrating in locker room after match. Very rare in American sports. It’s always said if you have boots you can always find a place to stay around the world if they’re fellow players (3) Fans - Compared to Euro soccer or NFL, opposing fans can commingle amongst each other with beating each other up. (4) Commercials/ Stoppage - I prefer to watch a game with as little stoppage as possible. There are 2 in the middle of each half in MLR games. It gets very hot here and I believe it’s good for player safety. (5) Players - Generally, the players are pretty humble. It’s very rare Rugby players are news for bad stuff. Very different than here. (Bonus:) After the game you can walk on field and talk to players. That’s very uncommon in big 4 sports here. These are the selling points of Rugby.
