I love where he was heading with his song writing. Songs that flow like a stream of consciousness rather than the traditional stanza form.

I was at the Garage show but I'm pretty sure the set began with Mojo Pin, just Jeff playing alone for a bit and with the band joining in a whlle later. So I'm not sure this is that same show. it did end with a 20min+ Kangaroo as encore though, just like here, totally unhinged and wild. Unfortunately it was too much for some folks and the crowd thinned out quite a bit. I just stood there at the font, totally hypnotised. One of the most magical shows I've ever seen.

johnny marr influence was so strong that jeff always wrote guitar parts that stands on its own; its beautiful already without the vocal, and his voice just expand it to something else
