Just did my '93. The pins instead of bolts are a poor design and a pain. Spray with brake cleaner before beginning. Then with WD 40 around the pins. The fine brake dust is very toxic wear gloves and a mask. A punch of the correct size will knock the pins out, not vise grips or a screw driver. They will punch out toward the truck. Actually they will punch out either direction. Put an old brake pad across the cylinder and press them in with the C clamp. It's a good idea to repack the bearings while rebuilding brakes. Also remove the cap on the master cylinder. That way when the cylinder is compressed you will not leak fluid or put too much pressure on the brake lines. I'm sure he is a good old boy shade tree mechanic, but hope these suggestions help a newbie. Pads are not difficult with a little forthought.
